Review: 0 noise even in horrible gig conditions, very light, very sturdy, fits 8 to 10 normal sized pedals - This is Shane J Nichols posting on the account I bought this off of, even though it's suspicious for only costing $129 (the VA002, medium size) (although my manual says it's a PD-M..? it does it's job perfectly, it definitely is isolated. I had this one specific gig about a month ago before I I bought this pedalboard, I only was able to use 2 out of my 8 pedals because every pedal I added, just built more feedback to a point where it was unbearable, I suffered that gig with just a simple tube screamer and a mxr classic distortion, still with a good amount of white (static) noise. I knew I had to play there at the same place in a month, and refused to let that happen again. I did research and figured out I needed an isolated power supply. After hours of looking at separate boards and seperate isolated power supplies, I came across this for only $129 I believe. I looked at all the reviews and the few bad ones just sounded like they didn't know how to operate it. I decided to buy it and it worked perfectly the next few gigs I had. Then the moment truth, the same gig I had about a month prior with an insane amount of feedback. I used the same plug ins, nothing different at all, except using this pedalboard to power my pedals instead of simply batteries and chaining them together. There was 0 feedback and 0 white noise, and it was the best gig I've had in a while. One thing you should know that the manual doesn't state, there's a potentiometer that controls the LED lights, and if your pickups are rather hot, you'll have to turn that potentiometer nearly all the way down or else you'll get a static noise with your clean sound. Turn it down until all but the very last LED light lights up in my opinion and it'll be a pure sound, I had mine cranked and was trying to figure it out for a couple hours as to why it sounded like that. The only complaint I have, is after about 5 gigs, the rubber on the bottom that keep it in place are ripping off already, and there's no rubber on the feet that pull out to raise the board. I ripped 2 rubbers off the top where they aren't even touching the ground because of the feet and taped them to the feet, but they are starting to rip, and like I said the ones in the bottom of board the glue isn't strong enough to keep them glued, they're ripping off as well. But you can easily buy replacement rubber or something of a better solution to this minor problem, this is literally the only issue I have and it's not enough to drop a star, especially considering the price. I highly recommend this board, especially if on a budget, this will not do you wrong. It has small and long output chords to reach all your pedals no matter where you place them on the board, 4 strong Velcro strips, to cover the whole board. The length of AC adapter is longer than I expected, I only had to use an extension cord/long seirge protector once. It has 10 9V 300 milliamp outputs (most pedals are 9v and under 100) and a 12v at 500 milliamps and an 18v at 500 milliamps. This board is also very sturdy, I feel I could stand on it, although I won't lol. Lightweight, and the case it comes with is great, I cut up some foam acoustic panels for extra padding when closing it up in there. Definitely a 5 star board especially considering the price
Review: This thing is actually pretty sweet! - SUMMARY: I figured an all-in-one unit like this would make some compromises, especially at this price, but it’s hard to find any faults in this thing! It’s not built like a tank or anything, but it would totally work for most people’s use case. PROS: - The power supply works great! No noise! I expected this to be the weak link, but it has given me no issues and has lots of power to spare! Has 12 and 18 volts too! You can probably power everything you can fit on here. I have a OneSpot and the new Voodoo3+ and I see no need to use either of those over the built-in supply. - It is very light weight and low-profile, especially when you consider it saves you a power supply. - The bag is pretty good. Not going to protect your pedals if you stack speaker cabinets on it, but it will work for transportation, and it is light and comfy to carry. - The LED level indicator is actually pretty sick, too! It’s adjustable, so I got it to go into the red right as my amp breaks up. You can use the included TS in/out to trigger it, or it uses ambient noise level if you leave it unplugged. - It has an ON/OFF switch!!! Why don’t all the big name pedal power supplies have a simple OFF switch?!?! I love it way more than I should. - The main power supply has changeable connectors if you travel, and this seems to be a modern switching power supply, so it should work everywhere. CONS: - Good quality, but not a tank. Serious touring musicians probably want something more sturdy. If you use the flip out feet, I would not stand on it to hard with a Wah pedal, or the aluminum will bend in the middle. If you want to step on it a lot, just leave it on the ground and route the cables through the channels or just over the top. Or maybe put the Wah on the side… - The power supply uses a very small connector for its’ main power. I have already broken the connector twice. Luckily it is easily replaced with a generic one, but being able to use a standard power cable would be great (and include the transformer in the board itself). SUGGESTIONS (for the manufacturer): - Please make one with a built-in battery! A couple reviewers have suggested that, and I agree that it would be awesome to not worry about power for the duration of a set. It would also bypass the issues I had with the main power supply plug. - Ditch the underside routing for cables and just make the whole thing more sturdy. You don’t need to go to steel or anything - just make all the rails more solid underneath. - Make the 12 or 18 volt supply switchable to a 9v high-current port and this would be near perfect as a power supply. - Bonus points if you make a couple of the inputs so you can “sag” the voltage or the current. It produces a cool effect on some vintage analog pedals, and it should be a simple addition if you are making a new version… At this price, I will likely buy another if mine stops working, or they come out with a new version.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What can you get from a real isolated power supply?**
A: Non-isolated power supply essentially "dirties" the sound and can get worse over time. Vangoa adds a real isolated design truely separating the pedals from each other, cutting off the ground loops, thus reducing excess signal noise.

**Q: Is this size enough for my gigs?**
A: Won't you want your gig easier going? Would you want carrying burden relieve? 16.1"x6.5" is much easier to go, it's still broad for loading 5-7 compact pedals and weighs merely 2.8lb even with a real isolated power.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Alternative to PedalPower2 and Pedaltrain Nano+
*by U***N on July 5, 2025*

Good mini pedalboard alternative to Pedaltrain nano+ with PedalPower 2. My band mates have that setup and I finally needed to get something since I was finally going to play guitar in performances. When I looked into their setup though it is nice I wanted to see if there was something else that could do the job but not be so expensive. Searched Amazon and found this. Decided to take a chance and I've been very happy. Very easy setup, putting the velcro on the board and the pedals. It kinda functions like a power strip, you can plug the power cords into part of the board (shown in one of the pics). Has a couple of features that I don't use: 1. There is an in and out for plugging guitar into and an out to an amplifier, and 2. there is a light bar that pulses with signal (and if you aren't plugged into it there is some sort of way that it does know when you are playing). I skip plugging my guitar into it because it just seems unnecessary (and might mess up the sound I suppose), and I've turned the light off so that it doesn't distract the audience when playing. I've been happy with it, it's been pretty sturdy so far, and is very light. The case is nice too although the strap you can use to loop it around a guitar case seems lame. I took one star off just because black isn't a color option.
