But if you are using it to repair, say a hole in an exhaust for example - the original jb weld is too thin and will also crack with vibration after a while. The high heat putty is great for filling a hole and moulding to how you want it and It is also easier to work with. It is flexible and wont crack and is especialy for continuous high temp too. **Q: Could this be used to stick a heating element in a microwave oven.** A: Definitely NOT! Tried in in a siimilar situation. DReadful fumes given off. **Q: Would it work to fix/glue a broken pan support for a gas hob?** A: I wouldn't think so, as it is poxy resin I don't think it would stand the constant heat from a gas flame. If repair is simply for esthetics and not use then it's worth a try.
