Motorola Mobility TLKR T92 H2O A9P00811YWCMAG - Two-Way Radio Set, Up to 10 km, Yellow/Black, 2 Pieces

Purchased these back in 2019, and they are still working well. They are well made and are easy to use. I am not an expert on Walkie-Talkies but these seem to have a good range and have good sound. I don't use them all of the time, but they are quite handy on holiday - particularly as they are waterproof. In Cornwall for example, when the tide was out, I could be at the waters edge, and the family way back on the shore and we could keep in touch. Have also just stayed in a converted water tower, and I could keep in contact with the family below, whilst I sat on the roof. Another great use, is the "voice activated" function. When I am in the garden and expecting a visitor, I put one one voice activated and sit it next to the front doorbell. The other is with me in the garden, and when someone calls, I know (yes I know smart doorbells do this, but I don't have one). One thing, you are not going to get "miles" of range from these, but for most uses, they are great - highly recommended

Excellent range of features. Sturdy, well built and will take the rough and tumble of life on out doors. IP rating and water safety features means you don't have to take care of them as you would your phone. Keys tones and squelch can be switched off to make for a less jarring experience in quieter situations. Battery life is good, but recharge is slow so plug them in regularly. First full charge was surprising long. Leave them plugged as soon as they arrive and wait, perhaps 24 hours or more! Would recommend

I have mixed feelings about these. We use them often and they are pretty good, but there are a few issues that annoy me: 1) Battery charging is a bit random. Sometimes it will stay charging for hours, then you unplug it and plug it back in again, and it says it is now full charged. 2) The battery low notification sometimes comes on after an hour (after being fully charged), but then it doesn't seem to run out of battery, so it is annoying to not know if it is really low or not 3) They are splash proof but don't submerge them for anything more than a few seconds. We now put ours in waterproof phone cases when they will be underwater a lot (the water previously leaked through the USB port on one of them). 4) Once submerged the mic doesn't work well, so this is another reason to keep them in a waterproof case, as it is a lot easier to hear each other. Range varies a lot with height. Around 500m if close to the water, and easily over 1km if standing up (even when behind hills/buildings). Aside from the above we have used them for 100s of hours and generally they work very well. With the encoded channels, I have never picked up interference.

Excellent product fast service

Used these for hiking in the Lakes and again on a camping trip with patchy phone signal — absolutely faultless. Battery life is excellent, the waterproofing actually works (one went for a short swim), and the range was better than expected, even in wooded areas. They’re chunky but feel tough, and the included carry cases make them easy to attach to a rucksack strap or belt. Charging is straightforward with the dock, and the emergency alert feature is a nice bonus if you’re in more remote places. If you’re after dependable, no-fuss comms when mobile data isn’t an option, these are a brilliant choice.

Water and bump proof. Floatible and no scary noise at the end of transmission. What not to like? :) When used with comercial PMR rafios the latter one were making annoying RF/FM noise at the end of every transmission (not a roger beep). T92 are not making such noise when transmitting to other T92 or commercial PMR (tested with Motorola XT660D and Kenwood 3601). Interesting that both commercial models are making this noise when transmitting to T92 but not when transmitting to other commercial PMR (xt660d to 3601 or 3601 to xt660d). Back to Motorola T92: really nice sound quality, dropping it on concrete shouldn't damage it. No range problems in whole our house and garden. Not yet tested outside due to C19 lockdown. Son loves it and so we do. Highly recommended! Some advantages over comercial PMRs (Motorola XT etc.): - you can use alkaline or rechargeable AA batteries (ie. if provided battery packet died) - you don't need to carry additional charger - it's charged via standard small usb connection so you can use whatever charger or power bank you have (although xt660d have usb psu but still you need to tske its desktop charger) - better waterproof class than xt660d If you look PMR only for business or home (no trips, hiking, playing with children etc) then you may consider commercial XT series: - desktop charger - Li-Ion battery - digital PMR mode (lower sound quality but on higher distance it is eliminating annoing loud noise) - more things programmable via PC software but usually less on device itself - Kenwood 3601 is much more smaller and lighter so easy can be carried in pocket while T92 and XT are rather on rugged big and bulky side. grips of T92: - not too sensitive vox - not enough to monitor small baby if some wanders - I'd prefer to see more VOX sensitivity levels ie. 10 instead of just 3 - big size - no desktop charger FYI: original Motorola earpiece works fine. other no-name one was disconnecting itself way to often, so if you experience similar problem look for orginal earpiece Warning: if you decide to use different batteries - check if they are still floating before you assume so (as per instruction on battery compartment lid)

Overall great radios would 100% recommend but did not receive rechargeable battery packs and a different box to the online pics and when I got in touch I got sent 2 greasy and used looking battery packs that came straight out of an ebay bag but apart from that I would 100% recommend these radios but maybe just not from this company.

Schon etwas länger habe ich nach passenden Funkgeräten (Walkie Talkies) gesucht, die typischen Bedingungen im Urlaub, d. h. am Strand, am Meer, im Wald, bei Regen oder auch auf einem See oder Fluss bei einer Kanu- oder Kayakfahrt widerstehen. Der härteste Einsatzort dürfte hier wohl die Nordsee sein, denn die Geräte sind bei uns beim Kitesurfen, also draußen auf dem offenen Meer im Salzwasser im Einsatz. Die Verarbeitung scheint TOP zu sein. Die Geräte fühlen sich in der Hand äußerst wertig an und machen den Eindruck einigen äußeren Einflüssen mühelos zu überstehen. Also perfekt für den Wassersport, denn sonst wüsste ich nicht wofür man IP67 geschützte Funkgeräte braucht ;-) Ich möchte mich hier auf wesentliche und wichtige Punkte beschränken und nicht alles wiederholen, was bereits mehrfach gesagt wurde (ja die Geräte sind wasserdicht z. B. ;-)). Wie bereits schon mal erwähnt wurde, gibt es zwei Varianten: Die ältere "TLKR T92 H2O" und die neue "TALKABOUT T92 H2O". Obwohl hier genau genommen die ältere Bezeichnung steht, erhält man dennoch die neue "TALKABOUT"-Variante. Unterschied scheinen hier nur die 8 bzw. 16 Kanäle (bei der neueren Version) zu sein, die man aber manuell zuschalten muss, wenn man denn möchte. Jemand stellte hier die Frage, ob die Geräte im Salzwasser verwendet werden können: Laut Beschreibung (und meiner persönlichen Meinung) können Sie das. Wasserdicht bedeutet wasserdicht, allerdings mit dem Unterschied, dass bei Salzwasser Rückstände entstehen können, daher empfiehlt der Hersteller laut Anleitung die Geräte sofort danach mit klarem Wasser zu spülen und zu reinigen. Ich sehe keinen Grund warum das nicht machbar sei bzw. den Geräten schaden würde... aber das ist wie gesagt nur meine eigene Meinung und ich werde sie im Salzwasser einsetzen und testen. Das wichtige Thema: die Reichweite. Jedem dürfte klar sein, dass 10 km nur unter äußerst besonderen positiven Bedingungen (eventuell) zu schaffen sind und das ist im Normalfall eher wenig bis gar nicht der Fall. Dennoch: ich bin von der Leistung sehr überrascht und absolut zufrieden. Aus einer kleineren Stadt heraus, mittig aus dem Wohngebiet bis hin zum Stadtrand, konnte ich meinen Gesprächspartner gerade noch so verstehen. Distanz: 2,25 km! (!!!) Wow, ein Wert der sich sehen lassen kann! Bald werden die Geräte im Feld getestet; ich bin gespannt welche Distanzen dort möglich sind. Der Rauschpegel wird hier natürlich abenteuerlich hoch, doch mit den Frequenzen und den Codes lassen sich diese Interferenzen etwas optimieren. Ansonsten gibt es 20 Klingeltöne, sogar Vibrationsfunktion (zusätzlich oder bei "stumm"), eine clever durchdachte Taschenlampe, die sich beim ersten mal nur auf Rot einschaltet (wichtig bei Astronomie oder generell in der Dunkelheit) und beim zweiten mal auf Weiß. Die Leistung reicht vollkommen, um in der näheren Umgebung, im Zimmer oder Zelt etwas zu suchen/lesen/reparieren. Die 2 Kanal Überwachung ist eine tolle Sache, beispielsweise wenn man 2 Gesprächspartner auf verschiedenen Frequenzen hat, bedient das Funkgerät automatisch den, der gerade gesprochen hat. Die Lautstärkeregelung ist super, automatisches Senden ("ivox") verfügt über 3 Sensibilitätsstufen, der Notknopf eine nette Zusatzfunktion und der Anschluss für ein Headset noch mehr Komfort. Sobald ein solches natürlich angeschlossen wird, ist die Dichtigkeit nicht mehr komplett gegeben, also Vorsicht! Alle Anschlüsse müssen immer 100% dicht verschlossen sein. Wichtig für alle, die die Bedienungsanleitung nicht komplett lesen: Die Geräte nicht einem Abstand von 1,5 m oder weniger betreiben! Das schadet der Elektronik, denn diese ist auf weite Distanzen ausgelegt (->Anleitung). Desweiteren die Antenne (besonders beim Senden) nicht berühren und möglichst weit von den Augen entfernt halten. Die leuchtend gelbe Farbe machen diese Walkie Talkies echt zu etwas ganz Besonderem, dass auch noch hübsch in einem schönen Koffer verpackt und mit allem Zubehör geordnet einsortiert werden kann. Von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung; genau dieses Produkt habe ich immer gesucht!

Used at our training facility as back-up and training radios. Charging time is quick. Can be used all day without draining the battery. Torch feature is nice to have but one must make sure one does not activate it by accident. Used on our training boats and can handle the wet although the speaker needs to be cleared of water in order to hear properly. a quick tap is all that is needed. Enough channels to ensure sole change usage. Good price.

En bosque dependiendo si estas en la otra ladera +o-1,5 km y unos 5 o 6 km en bosque a mismo nivel . En zona alta sin obstáculos he llegado a comunicarme a algo más de 20km . Boton emergencia, flota ,es sumergible, linterna, sos . Muy bien.
