If you use an extension lead then make sure you have one with the proper fuse otherwise it may not work. Once plugged in and switched on the light comes on and goes out when the hot plate has reached the temperature set on the dial. **Q: Do aluminium pans/pressure cookers work with this? I found out aluminium pans do not work with ceramic induction hobs. I will use this as alternative** A: Yes they do work with older styles of pan.
