Would these work for stargazing? I don't need (and can't afford) something fancy, just an improvement on the naked eye. City skies if it matters.

I doubt they would be very accurate but I haven't tried star gazing as I live in a built up area with light pollution. These were used on a general seaside holiday and were fine for that purpose.
