This works fine out of the box.Most of the instruction pamphlet, 3 pages of it, describes a cumbersome calibration process and calls for purified water. I suppose that is necessary for precise measurement, but for my hydroponics it was quick, easy and seems accurate and consistent right out of the box.

This digital pH meter is a must-have for anyone who needs precise pH readings. It’s easy to use, with a clear horizontal display and quick, accurate measurements. I’ve used it for my hydroponics setup, aquarium, and even my pool, and it works perfectly every time. The temperature reading feature is a great bonus. Highly recommended for both beginners and experts!

Stopped working after 8 months. I cant recalibrate it because the pH reading will not output anything it just stays at 0 regardless of what it is placed in. I reached out to the manufacturer about a replacement unit since it has a 12 month warranty, they sent out a replacement to me. Good customer service, its a bummer the other one broke but it is a inexpensive pH meter so i wasnt expecting anything amazing. It is amazing that they are willing to replace it free of charge within the first year.

Calibrated out of box, has stayed calibrated with multiples of uses, and takes fast readings. I have tested this against other units and various calibration solutions and it is spot on. I have used two other brands at this price range and they don't even come close. Very well made casing and easy to read. It only measures to the tenths but that works fine for most things. Very surprised how nice this is , wish I bought it first

After leaving a negative review, YINMIK contacted me and sent me a new meter. I should've contacted the seller before writing the review. That was a mistake on my part.The replacement meter they sent me has been great. It came calibrated right out of the box. I've been using it for about two weeks now, and I've had no issues with this replacement meter. I've had no drifting pH, and no calibration or accuracy issuesFor the price of this meter, you wouldn't expect anything better. The customer service, and the replacement product has given me confidence to try more products from YINMIK.

When I got this, I calibrated according to the spec sheet, and it works really precisely. Temperature monitor is really nice too.

Calibrating this and keeping it moist between uses is great. The fact that I can check the PH in all of my tanks in a couple minutes is a HUGE boon for me.However, I have gone through two of these eight months. The first lasted for about six months and was amazing, the second would not work after being calibrated. It kept saying 0.2 and would not change despite all efforts and research.I'm going to try something else this time. It's a great device when it works, but I've been without one for almost two months and I hate using my strips and master tester kit to determine pH.

I'd buy ten of these before I'd buy another $100+ brand. My first one worked for about 3 months before it wouldn't calibrate properly and I notified the seller who immediately replaced it. Their service was timely and responsive. The device itself functions as intended with a clear LCD, auto off, etc. The inclusion of calibration packets is a huge plus.
