You definitely get a good range of colours with this. I've seen other skein collections and which over represent some colours, but this has a really even mix of everything. There are some standout shades which are lovely. From what I can tell the quality isn't awful either. Very pleased

As other reviewers have said, there are a few skeins short of 250 and there are a few duplicate colours but for this price it really is a no-brainer. I had a whale of a time sorting through these when they arrived. A lovely range of shades, nice to work with and with a cost of about 7p per skein, it's amazing value. Would buy again - but with so many skeins to work with, maybe not for a while!

Good range of colours as seen in the picture. I got 245 in the bag but I don't mind as they are still good value for money. The numbers don't match up with my DMC threads so could be tricky if trying to colour match. But you can't go wrong for so many for the price. I like that the colours aren't all primary colours. They're are lots of muted colours too. No problems with splitting the thread. Would buy again.

I have previously always used DMC or Anchor threads for cross-stitching, but thought it would be useful to have a collection of multiple colours rather than buying specific ones for each project. Delivery was really quick, and exactly 250 threads were enclosed. There are no repeat colours (according to the label numbers) but a few are extremely close (although the numbers are very different!). All in all very pleased.Happy with the thread quality for my needs & impressed by the myriad of colours. I am only a "hobbying" cross-stitcher so, this set may well last me a lifetime given my intermittent projects! Half are greens/blues/pinks (about 40-45 of each), and the other half reds, yellows, oranges, greys, browns (about 20-25 of each). Black & white are both included in my bag (although I note they are DMC labelled rather than CXC - see below). The only obvious omission colour-wise is a strong red/scarlet shade.One downside: I have looked online & have been unable to find a conversion chart for CXC colours to compare with DMC/Anchor etc. It would be very helpful if CXC would produce one so that it is easier to set up embroidery projects. Interestingly, there are a few threads in this pack whose numbers correlate exactly with DMC numbers. Their labels are different too so they may very well be DMC threads!!

Took 2 days for delivery and that's over a weekend , fabulous...can't fault that, amazing bag of colours, can't find 2 the same, every shade you'll ever need ....ok they're not anchor which I usually use for embroidery and cross stitch but I use cheap ones from market too which aren't bad but I can't get right now and they don't have the codes for patterns in magazines, these seem to correspond with dmc so that's a help and for the price how can I complain......now I can confidently let my grandkids loose in my sewing box (which they love to do) without it costing me a fortune ...so happy days.😁

I have attached a few photos of some of the threads. The faults are as follows.Colours of repeated numbers DO NOT MATCH. I did post a picture of this. Some threads are badly frayed.Again picture shows this. Also my major disappointment was the fact I DID NOT receive the full 250 threads. I got 248 I was missing 2 and I do have duplicate colours.GOOD POINTS.Great range of colours. The ones I have sorted out are the correct length.I did get quite a few sequence colours so that is a huge bonus. I have posted pictures to show you a few examples. I still have a lot to sort through. I'm not sure if it was a great batch considering the fact I didn't get the full amount of threads and I got duplicate colours and even though they was numbered the exact same. The colour difference seriously shows this could ruin any of my cross stitch patterns.

Really impressed with the variety of colours and quality. Ignore the numbers as they don't mean much (had two with the same number but totally different colours). No duplicate shades but quite a few tonally similar which is just what I wanted. No breakages either which is a bonus. They do knot up every now and then but I manage to knot DMC and Anchor too so...
