An excellent reliable and well built fitness tracker. Just needs more banks!
I have had many smart watches and fitness trackers. They all seem good at launch but when you have them for a few months their niggles begin to show. With my LG it didn’t have GPS. With my Garmin it wasn’t good enough to swim in and died. So I turned to Fitbit after my wife loved her Charge HR.Design:I like it. It says unisex but it’s quite large and probably more suitable for male arms/wrists. The band is comfortable and easily replaceable without tools.Comfort:I wear mine all day and night and only remove it to charge it (takes about an hour). I get approx 3-4 days out of it. No issues with redness or sore skin.Usage:I have tracked cycling, running, walking, swimming and aerobic exercise. It is consistent and works really well. If there is one flaw it’s hard to use the screen in the pool. But that’s the same for any touch screen device.Music streaming:You have 2 options here. If you use Deezer you can download playlists onto the watch. Or load on music manually buy syncing mp3 files over. I don’t use deezer. So I had to manually move files over. It is slow and painful. But once done it’s enough to keep me going if my phone isn’t around. I stored around 280 songs on mine.If I had a choice I’d rather it use Spotify or have a choice at least. They are significantly bigger players in music streaming.Fitbit pay:I also like the idea of not having to take a phone on runs/bike rides. Fitbit pay seemed ideal and I am a regular user of Apple Pay. There is an issue though. Currently only 2 banks are supported in the UK. Starving Bank is online only and I’ve opened a debit account with them purely to keep £50 on my Fitbit. It’s handy. But this is one area where other android or Apple powered watches have the edge.Phone app:I love how simple the app is. It gives a really clear overview of your day. But drill down and you find interesting stats about sleep, heart rate and exercise. It’s stable and syncs without issue unlike my Garmin used to. The ability to add friends and if yours are anything like mine more people seem to have fitbits than other devices you can spur yourself on to beat friends/coworkers.Overall:I have owned over 3 “smart” wearable devices. So far I’ve had the Ionic for 7 months and it’s been brilliant. I have used it with both iOS and Android and it works great. Recommended.

Stay away..!
I'm glad I waited before writing a review on this watch. It's horrendous and there are much better products in the market.Nothing but problems with this watch. Worst decision I've made in terms of trusting a company to value my business.Downloading apps, syncing, charging, useability, it's all just wrong. The levels of frustration you go through with this watch are just ridiculous and they shouldn't have launched it when they did. Fitbit brought a product to market which is clearly inadequate and are now doing whatever they can legally to not accept responsibility and treat the consumer like idiots by talking to them like children who have no idea how to use a "smart" watch. It is upsetting enough to pay hundreds of pounds for a watch that fails after 8 months but then to resist the responsibility of correcting the issue is a mindless act that will stop people buying the products for life. I have lost count of how many emails I have had to write to get my watch replaced and to date they still haven't/wont accept there is a fault. Legally they think you have no rights with these people after 45 days... will not come back to fitbit ever,.

Not waterproof
Watch was perfect for 4 months, then I took it swimming.... It's allegedly water resistant up to 50 metres. After my swim, watch was vibrating constantly and began heating up, almost burning my wrist. It's not been able to turn on since.Don't buy it if you are planning to use it for swimming. Disappointed as it's not a cheap watch.

Don't bother if you own a Huawei/Honor phone!
Absolutely disgusted by fitbit's attitude regarding compatibility. If your phone isn't on their tiny list of "supported" handsets they don't want to know and hide behind their list like a shield! Even worse is their lack of support for handsets made by Huawei/Honor.. Considering they are one of the biggest selling phone makers in the world they will not work properly with Fitbit, if at all! Hidden away in their connection faq they now explicitly state lack of compatibility with them! They should make this clearer to customers as they offer no help at all in trying to get their device connected. The only advice I have seen them give us to sync your Fitbit with a pc instead, losing all of the smartphone related features like notifications and call alerts.

Don't believe all the hype, it's far from smart
Bought this in April 2018 having been impressed with the advertised hardware and software features. Sadly, I found it to be inaccurate, temperamental and nothing but hassle. Having read the litany of complaints in previous reports I can now believe them all. If you take tracking your performance seriously then look elsewhere, this is not for you. The features look impressive but if the results are wildly inaccurate then what is the point. I now find myself with just another good looking waterproof watch.

i loved it until it broke
i loved it until it broke! syncing has broken. have been in touch with customer support, they have finally agreed to replace, but this took a very long time! (actually still waiting for the replacement to arrive almost a month after the first contact). but i would say that when it worked it was amazing.
