Can these pens be used on the wipe clean books for kids?

Yes you can. My daughters use on the Peppa pig and hello kitty wipe clean books. It just takes longer to clean it. You can use a baby wipe for any marks left, if any..

Can these pens be used on laminated posters and then wiped off clean - either with special sponge or just plain cloth etc....?

If instantly then yes but if it dries alittle bit then no, also not good on white board. I bought them for the washable drawing mats. But kids ended up using on white board and lamented posters and it took a while to remove

Do the pens have ventilated lids to avoid choking?

The lids do have some small holes at the top, i can't say for certain that it will stop choking but currently my 2 year old has not had a problem with them. Hopefully that helps
