Effects on training: I ran out of whey powder before I bought this tub on Amazon. I have trained several periods in the last years with and without whey protein (replaced shakes with natural protein sources). I personally like the quick absorption of Optimum Nutrition Whey, the flexibility and creativity it adds to my day-to-day activities and the quality of the product. I have barely any other option to quickly get a protein amount while I am juggling my job, my workouts and my friends. I personally think this whey protein has good effects on my training. (I have gained about 10 lbs of muscle mass in the last 12 months of training - 4 day split). I run 2-3 times a week (approx. 30 minutes). TASTE: I have tried several brands before I discovered Optimum Nutrition. I prefer the Milk CHOCOLATE taste and it really does taste like chocolate. There are sweeteners in this whey but you can't really taste them. Mixing with WATER: Using a SMART SHAKER (tm) - mixes OK with water, there are no lumps and the process is quick. However the TASTE changes a bit if you are using the Milk CHOCOLATE with water only. If you have further questions please do not hesitate to contact me. Mixing with MILK (low-fat 0.3% milk): Using a SMART SHAKER - mixes really well, taste is excellent. No lumps or issues. If you shake it hard enough there will be a little bit of "foam" on top of your shake which is good. Mixing with fruit juice: I have tried MINUTE MAID Orange Juice - mixing was no problem but I personally didn't like the chocolate/orange taste (but I also don't like this combination in chocolate, others love it - just try it out!) Mixing/Combining with Quaker Oats (oatmeal/porridge): ON Double Rich Chocolate with oatmeal adds a great chocolate taste and makes the oatmeal more appealing. However, there is also a floury side taste (similar to mixing with water alone) which is the only downside. I can live with it. NEGATIVE / ADVERSE effects on body, skin or hair: None. I have been using Gold Standard Whey for almost 10 years now, and the extreme milk chocolate flavour is definitely one of my favourites. It has a really good chocolate taste, kind of like chocolate milk and I’ve always found this brand trustworthy, so I’ve stuck with it. While it’s not my main protein these days, I still enjoy having it every once in a while. Each scoop has 120 calories, 1.5 grams of fat, 3 grams of carbs (1 gram fibre, 2 grams sugar), and 24 grams of protein. The macronutrient profile is solid, and it’s made up of a blend of proteins, including whey protein isolate, whey protein concentrate, and whey peptides. Mixing it up is easy, and it smells great as soon as you open it, a nice chocolate aroma without being too sweet or overpowering. It’s smooth and has a good texture, and I like the chocolate flavour intensity, it’s got just the right balance, not too strong or weak. I’d call it the Goldilocks of chocolate flavours, if you will. On a scale of 1 to 10 I’d give this flavour an 8.5 out of 10. If you’re looking for a tasty, reliable chocolate protein, I’d definitely recommend trying the extreme milk Chocolate flavour. So I am not a super gym freak but I wanted to get healthier over all, so I opted for some additional supplements to help me on my journey. One of these supplements was Optimum Nutrition's Gold Standard 100% WHEY (Extreme Milk Chocolate) I was not only relying on this for my protein intake, real food was also consumed. So I would have 3 meals and 3 shakes a day. After about a week are so I did lose some weight and gain some muscle. It wasn’t a massive improvement but a good start in my eyes. Since then, due to injury, I have not been back to gym but I do still take this supplement occasionally in the week as a quick meal. I like the taste and the nice thing for me is that the protein mixes well in both water and milk. Packaging: Well packaged, comes in a tub. I have seen other in the reviews saying that the seal had been broken when trying to open it. I have bought at least 6 tubs in the last 12 months and never had this happened to me. Product: The flavour I ordered is extreme milk chocolate, I really like the taste and it mixes well. I have used it with water, almond milk and 2% milk all mixed well and tasted great. I find that its not really down to the powders not mixing proper but some people don't use good quality mixers. Pros: *Tastes great *Mixes well *Free scoop in every tub *Good quality protein *Versatile for what you need it for *Packaged well Cons: I haven't had any as of yet. I still have a tub in the kitchen, that I now just use with my meal replacements. Conclusion: If you are looking for a good trusted brand this is a good choice in my opinion. I have used other protein brands in the past but this was the right one for me and I will continue using it. I would definitely recommend this product, whether you are going to gym, playing sports, or just wanting to add additional protein boost to your diet.

I've dropped a star as subsequent orders have yielded significant batch variation. My last batch was difficult to mix satisfactorily. The two main things of importance with whey protein supplements for me are; ease of mixing and flavour. This whey protein gives 24g of protein per drink and mixes in seconds most of the time. I got chocolate flavour which was lovely and easy to drink. I recommend, but with reservations regarding mixing.

I ordered this product after reading some unsettling reviews (regarding genuineness of the product and the apparent breaching of the safety seal). After receiving the product I first checked the holographic seal to see if was intact. The holographic seal upon careful inspection revealed no sign of tampering or compromise. Next, I opened the cap and checked for any compromises in the inner seal between the packaging and product. This inspection revealed no signs of tampering or compromise. I will happily say this product is 100% genuine and is not tampered with in anyway before delivery to the customer. This is not the first time that I have ordered this product from this source and it has given me remarkable results in terms of recovery and growth. In terms of flavour, I would give the Extreme Milk Chocolate Flavour a score of (3.5/5), and Double Milk Chocolate a score of (2.0/5). Sub-par compared to some of the other flavours of supplements out there...But I suppose a taste is better than getting cancer with all these untested sweeteners out there. Overall, it's a high quality product that does its job well. Special props to the quality of Glutamine... I can say that this product allows me to go all the whey (that was terrible)...I wish my girlfriend did. Uh yeah. That's all.
