Excellent and safe little lamp for my 8 year old son. It takes batteries rather than being plugged in, which for a child I think is an excellent idea. It is smaller than a normal size bedside lamp though which I had already seen this in a shop so I was aware, but I would have been a bit disappointed if I hadn't already known. Only things keeping it from 5* is the size and that it doesn't come with the 3 AAA batteries needed.

This is a good quality lamp in all ways except one, the screw to undo the battery chamber is made of poor quality metal and the screwdriver mushes it. It makes it difficult to put a new battery in. Once you have started using the lamp however, it is very good and works very well, and my grandson loves it. I bought it as a desk lamp, and he also uses it as a night light. When left on it switches itself off. If it were not for the mushed screw, I would have given it 5 stars.

15 minutes mandatory power off timer is just too short for my son to fall sleep. Basically he keeps nearly falling asleep then the light goes out, he gets up to turn it on again, and the cycle repeats for 1.5 hours. Would have been great if the timer was set to 30 minutes or could be disabled. Aside from that, and the fact it's tiny, it's quite nice for the price. I'm now buying a different Star Wars lamp with no timer...

I wanted I battery operated lamp or my 5 year old son. As my 7 year old daughter has the princess lamp.Much safer then wires hanging .The lamp has a timer of 10 minutes, then switches it’s self off. Or just switch it off when you have finished.The batteries last a long time , as we only use them at bedtime reading.This was a bargain as it was in the sale.I just rest on the edge of my kids bed, easy access.

good price, fast delivery, smaller than I thought it was going to be but good bright light 15 minute time for the light being on. Son was happy with the lamp so I'm pleased with that.

Very small and lightweight and is a night light more than a lamp. Still son loves it and is delighted.

My son like it as he's star wars daft. Smaller than I expected and I also didn't realise it went off automatically!I bought it as a night lift but first time night he got a fright when it suddenly went dark (age 6).
