Good headphones for a good price.
I bought these 3 years ago and they are still going strong, I am about to buy another pair in a different colour, just so I have a back up pair. They don't have noise cancelling but that is why I like them. They fit well, are comfortable and the quality of sound (I use them on PC) is excellent and on par with other headphones I have had over the years. I use the ones without the microphone so cannot comment on the quality of that. I have used them on my tablet when I went into hospital, and again the sound quality is very good, they are good for music, listening to YouTube videos and films. Very happy with these Sony MDR-ZX310 headphones.

Good sound, great value
I thank the reviewers that highlighted the weak 3.5mm jack, some sockets require quite a bit of force to engage so I knew to be careful. Sound quality isn't bad at all, not muffled, the whole range is decent. If you have an equaliser they're capable of good sound - even without I'm satisfied with the quality. I read a review that the packaging was hard to open. It isn't, either Sony fixed it or maybe the review was for a different product. I got them on sale and am very happy. Just to add, the cable is the bare minimum length, 1.2m, I bought an Amazon Basics extension to use them with my computer. Altogether £20. Very pleased.

Good quality.
Good sound. Really nice warm red colour. Fits very nicely. The wire came a tad loose after about a year but I think that's my fault for maybe not storing it correctly.

Excellent Sound Quality - HIghly Recommended
Very good sound as you would expect from Sony (particularly good bass). Using it for listening to music, You-Tube, and audio-books on my phone and sound is crystal clear. The headphones do not drown out outside sounds if the volume is low-to-medium, but that's only if the outside sound is fairly loud/fairly close-by, and I guess that would happen with most headphones around this price-range. I have an Android phone with no earphone jack, so I also bought a 'Headphone Earphone Adaptor USB Type C to 3.5mm Jack' from Amazon from 'La Brodee Store' for £4.99. The headphone length of wire is about 1.14m (45 inches) from end tip of jack to the earphones, so ok for using with a phone or a Sony Walkman (remember those !), or a laptop/pc monitor, but probably not long enough for watching TV/gaming (you would need some kind of extended). I bought the blue colour headphones which look very smart. The head-band and ear-muffs are comfortable and has a good range of adjustment. Look carefully at the back of each head-set and you will see 'L' and 'R' marked to denote which ear-muff is for left and which is for right. The folding mechanism is good although as long as you treat with care and have good light. Volume is controlled from whichever device you are using and not the headphones themselves, and the headphones do not have a micro-phone. All-in-all really good value smart headphones with very good sound.

Great Sound
I've always had Sony headphones and these have not disappointed. Still a great full sound with great bass. Highly recommend for the price.

Addictive!
Be warned these easy to set up, standard sized air drums are highly addictive! A normal drum stick weight with only one button to push for one and off. I been playing with these since they were delivered, had annual leave from work and just played with these all day alone and absolutely love them. Very easy to connect as they’re actually do it themselves when switched on. A great sound and easy to follow table of setup in the air. If you get some, enjoy them!

Surprisingly good - amazing value!
I bought these mainly for taking on holiday to Croatia since my big headset wouldn't fit in hand luggage and I watch Netflix shows on the plane. They're amazing. Very light but that doesn't mean cheaply made despite their price. They fold really flat and the colour is great (Mine are a really nice blue). Since they're so light, they are probably the most comfortable headphones I've owned in years. I let my mum try them, someone who historically hates wearing headphones because she hates pressure on her ears and she said she could easily wear them. They connect to your devices using an L-shaped 3.5mm headphone jack so unless you have the dongle you won't be able to use them with some of the newest phones (iPhone 7 on and Google Pixel 2 devices for example) but they are only £15, I wouldn't expect bluetooth and good sound quality at that price. I did at least get one of those though because the sound quality is excellent. I have been using these to listen to music for my dissertation and the detail and clarity in everything from the quietest pizzicato double bass to a high pitched flute melody is astounding. They demolish my JVC earbuds that are admittedly tuned for bass and I didn't expect to be good for treble but I had not expected these to be as good as they are. The headphones also get very loud without distorting the sound to any noticeable degree but never have I had anyone complain about noise bleeding. If you're looking for a great looking, well built, great sounding, lightweight and amazing value pair of on-ear headphones then these are, in my opinion, perfect

Gold Style, Bronze Sound...
I bought these for a bargain at under £12, although if I'd have paid £20+ I would have been a little disappointed with the frequency response, mainly in the high mids and highs. I must admit, I'm accustomed to listening to music with expensive headphones, but needed a cheaper pair of foldable headphones (mainly for travel) to replace a pair of broken JVC Flats. For that purpose, they are a great buy, especially if you can get them under or around the £15 mark, but if you're looking for clarity in music you'd be better looking elsewhere and increasing your budget a bit. Out of the pack, the low end response makes for plenty of bass for a 30mm driver unit, but that's at the expense of high mids and high frequencies. Notes that should cut through in mixes can get lost in the muddiness of the overall sound experience. Compared to the JVC Flats, the mid/high clarity is disappointing, although the bass response is far superior to the JVC's, so it depends on what you prefer and what you're willing to sacrifice frequency-wise. That said, the headphones are comfortable and fold up easily. The build quality is decent and the wire is short enough and easy to fold, with none of those annoying twists you can get with other headphones. Visually, the Sony MDRZX310's look great with the offset Sony logo on each side, and Left/Right markings are easy enough to spot in low light. I'd definitely say buy these, as long as you're not looking for audio gold, you won't be disappointed.
