RØDE SC7 TRS to TRRS 3.5mm Patch Cable, Smartphone

I bought one of these wires to link my Rode Mic with my Ipad, it worked for 1 month and then it started making a buzzing noise in the background of the recording, i contacted Rode and they sent me a replacement wire, it lasted 1 month and started making a buzzing noise in the background again, however if i postioned the wire in a certain way i could avoid it, so the wire ended up lasting me 1 year, i just bought a new wire again 3 months ago and yet again the buzzing noise has come back into the background of the recording. How can a product be so inefficient, unreliable and poor quality?

I brought The Rode SC7 TRD to TRRS patch cable as it was a recommended cable to (buy it with) The Rode Video Mic Pro II this, information is incorrect and misleading. As with the picture I provided it suggests this mic is compatible with The Rode SC7 TRD to TRRS patch cable (it is not). The Rode Video Mic Pro II 3.5 mm jack lead is hard wired into the mic and there cannot be changed out for the Rode SC7 TRD to TRRS patch cable. This meant i wasted £9 on a cable which i cannot use hence my 1 star overall rating and disappointment

I bought this to go with a Rode mic, but returned it because it was faulty - the slightest tap on the wire, the video camera or the mic would result in awful crackling. I tested the mic and the camera separately on different rigs to make sure that the fault wasn’t in there - the fault was definitely in this little wire - most likely in one of the jacks at the ends

The audio is crackly, this item is no good. Would not recommend this purchase.

could not use as the wrong cable sent should have grey and black ends - took me a littile time to work out why the Rode wierless unit did not work

I bought this cable to connect my Motorola X4 via a RØDE VXLR+ to an audio interface, the grey TRSS in the phone, the black TRS end into the VXLR+. Result: Nada! I must have received a faulty product.

Brought this for my micro rode mini. Dead on arrival.

Bought this to connect iPhone 5SE to the receiver of a radio mic. Doesn't work. (The receiver works perfectly with other digital recorders, so it isn't the problem.) The iPhone simply continues to use it's internal microphone.

If you have the Rode Wireless GO II and want to connect it to your iPhone, you need this SC7 cable. It’s compact, reliable, and keeps the connection solid without any hassle.
