Can you add food colouring to the florist paste

It depends on what you mean by sugar lace! If you mean can you push this into a lace mould and will it hold it's shape better than sugarpaste in a deep mould then yes, as it is flower paste. It is an expensive way to doing it. If it is going on the side of the cake for someone to eat I would use sugarpaste as this will dry hard like a stick of rock. Alternatively you could mix this with some sugarpaste or add Tylos/CMC to your sugarpaste to firm it up. However it is not cake lace that is a liquid/paste that you spread on to a lace mate with a pallet knife, dry and then peel away from the mat to apply to your cake or model etc. I hope that helps.

On average, how much of this paste would you used to make one large flower? I am a complete newbie to fondant/florist paste, so would 100g be best?

I couldn't tell you in grams but the sugar paste goes a long way. Depending what type of flower you make means you use more of less as well. I made loads of flowers with this amount and I used it for 3 different cakes!

can i use this to make a sugar shoe with this please because everytime i use normal icing with tylose it doesnt work

This a product I swear by I have always used I do not use anything where I have to add tylose powder to it not unless I am making my own sugar glue. Its the best product for gum paste flowers, shoe or anything that you want to keep its shape and set hard, also please make sure when using this product you cover it in a ziplock bag and a air tight container it dries hard. Great quality and so easy to use

Best flower paste I’ve used really holds its shape when making sugar flowers making it really easy to use!Easy to colour and doesn’t go too soft when colouring but isn’t as solid as some other flower pastes that are completely unworkable, meaning it doesn’t crack when added to the flower either!The bigger pack makes it better value for money also!

Arrived very quickly.

I have used this flowerpaste for many years now and would recommend it. I like it because it dries off a bit faster than some other flowerpastes. Oh and I always open the bottom of the packet so that I can seal it more easily by folding the foil over and securing with 2-3 rubber bands to keep the air out.

My favourite flower paste

SFP is great for making delicate sugar flowers that dry hard. You can roll it nice and thinly so the petals look translucent. This was white but it's also available in a great range of colours.
