After being up in the attic I noticed alot of moisture droplets. After some research I put this down to airflow...or lack of it to be precise. It was a quick 10 minute job to get these installed (Inc getting the ladders and going in/out of the attic). I would say these have cleared up 95% of the moisture up there and to a level that I would consider "normal". I would highly recommend these as once they are in you can just forget about them.

In the winter we've had terrible problems in our loft with condensation, often ruining lots of items stored up there. We're looked at different options to resolve this like installing air bricks etc, all of which seemed costly. On the off chance I thought I'd check Amazon for any solutions and came across these. I read through the reviews and say many people saying they bought 2-3 packs. We have a fairly large loft, but I thought I'd start with one pack first to see if they make a difference, and then maybe invest in more. They are very simple to install, literally just slot the in the gaps of the roof membrane. As soon as you start putting them in you can feel the air starting to circulate, it's really surprising. As we only had one pack I just randomly spread them out, and placed some at different heights. The difference just a single pack of these has made has been amazing. We've had some really cold weather since, and I haven't seen any condensation since installing these. Previously, we would see lines of soaking wet floor boards, and items with pools of water sitting on them (we used to cover everything with old bin bags to protect them). These have been so effective, that I don't think we even need any additional packs. If you have any condensation issues in your loft, I highly recommend these, and they are incredible value for money.

Was having a build up of condensation in the roof and wanted to deal with that before it started causing damage. I couldnt afford to have someone fit vent tiles at the time, so decided to get these while I saved up. Installation was fairly easy. The hardest part of the whole thing was crawling around balancing on the beams of my unboarded loft. I recommend using some kind of board to crawl around and sit on to make it easier. 3 months on and there is no condensation and I can feel the breeze every time I go in there. The consensation is gone, the inside of the loft is bone dry, and I can finally address adding more insulation without being worried about making the condensation worse.

This product is ann excellent solution to a badly-ventilated loft. Previously, despite built-in vents under the eaves, the loft was slightly damp all year round, and in winter there was a problem with condensation. These felt-lap vents have been in place for ten months now and have improved the airflow in the loft dramatically. There was a noticeable improvement within a week even though they were installed in the winter. After a month there was no more dampness in the loft, and since then the space continues to be completely dry. I placed them between every second rafter and mirrored them front and rear of the roof, i.e. directly opposite each other. This seems to have created a good airflow without drafts. The vents are good value, well designed, quick and easy to fit, and very effective indeed. Highly recommended

I ordered these as I discovered a serious condensation problem on the roof felt during the cold spell in December. Water was literally dripping on to the insulation and the small boarded area. In September we'd added another layer of insulation, which I believe may have contributed to the issue. Having never previously heard of lap vents, I thought I'd order some after reading positive reviews. Very easy to install, they worked really well and quickly. I wasn't sure if that was down to the increase in temperature when the cold spell ended so I thought I'd wait until the next freezing weather to see what happened. The weather is currently freezing and I'm pleased to say that there is very little condensation up there. Probably a 90% improvement on the original situation.
