Highly Recommended
Reason for buying: I decided to buy this product because I wanted a healthy form of a protein powder that had no dairy or toxins in it (artificial chemicals, preservatives & additives). Taste: When I first tasted the product I expected it to taste very bland, However I was pleasantly surprised. It tasted like brown rice which did not make sense because I had just drank liquid!. I really enjoyed it. 10/10 for taste. Health benefits: After taking the product twice a day for 30 days I felt a lot better; more energy and vitality. Strangely enough though after drinking it I felt that I had eaten something that my body really wanted and hadn't had before. Value / Comparison vs other Brown Rice products: At £6.96/250g (£27.84/1kg) this product seems good value at first considering it's health benefits. However if purchased in a 1kg bag it works out to be £19.95/Kg, so it's definitely worth buying it in a bigger bag. There are also other Brown Rice protein powders on Amazon, however in my experience they are either made of poor ingredients such as "Bulk Powders 1kg Brown Rice Protein" at £15.99 or they are far too expensive such as "Sunwarrior Ultimate Raw Superfood Protein Powder 1Kg" at £34.99 / Kg (although the Sunwarrior brand is sprouted brown rice powder which has better ingredients but lies outside most people budget (such as myself). Negatives: The only downside with this product is that it is not a complete protein (does not contain the correct amino acid profile in the correct proportions). Pulsins Pea protein also has the same problem, however if both are taken together (20g of Rice Powder + 20g Pea powder instead of 40g of Rice Powder), they complement each other and are a complete protein source in the correct amino acid proportions. Verdict: Highly recommend Feedback:If you wish to provide feedback on this review then please follow the link below - thanks.

Tastes GOOD
Finally a protein powder that doesn’t RUIN STUFF and isn’t full of fillers and artificial stuff! Please don’t stop making this! It blends well into smoothies and stirs well into porridge. It adds a mild creamy taste. Almost like rice pudding or something. The pea one really did change the flavour in a nasty way but this one’s perfect. Thanks!

this is one of the best products available that (claims to) contains all natural ingredients
I have been using this protein powder for just a little under a year and while I can say that it does have a distinct taste and can be very powdery if not diluted correctly, this is one of the best products available that (claims to) contains all natural ingredients. I'm having a hard time to understand what people are complaining about. As I said, if not properly diluted you will find that your drink becomes powdery. The taste is somewhat 'desirable', again.. are people forgetting to mix something else to give it taste or perhaps they are too lazy to? I mix mine with; milk, banana, Nutella & peanut butter. It's a very nice mix, with the right amount of milk the texture is still quite grainy but gives a nice texture to the shake. For the price and the amount you get, it's worth it. If you're too lazy to be creative with your shake then buy something else. 8/10

Musty and chalky
i only switched from whey isolate as I realised it was the reason I was experiencing a lot of bloating - the fact that this product doesn't bloat me or cause indigestion is the only good thing I have to say about it really. Even mixed into a smoothie with fruit it has a really musty taste and a chalky mouthfeel. Will keep with it purely to avoid digestive discomfort but wouldn't recommend.

Tasty
I bought this for making protein shakes after I decided Hemp was just too disgusting. I make a smoothie with coconut water, banana and ice cubes and its great - it has a texture to it - its kind of like very fine dust, but I actually quite like it in my smoothie and the flavour of it is also quite nice - it almost tastes a bit vanillaish, but that might just be me!

Like chalk.
I normally use soy protein isolate with no problems and have criticised some people who whine about it, but now I am going to whine about this. It is like adding ground chalk and seems impossible to mask the taste. I have tried to stick with this rather than throw a whole kilo away, but I think I am going to cut my losses and go back to soy. The drawback with the soy is lumpy mixing, but no problem for me as I use a blender. Pea protein perhaps just as bad. An expensive experience.

Suspect taste, but that's not why you buy this stuff.
TASTE: I've just opened my first 1kg bag of this stuff and stuck it in some yogurt with honey and blueberries to see how it would fair as a morning snack. I have to say, the taste seems like something I'm going to have to get used to. It does NOT taste like brown rice to me. I've tried the Pea Protein and enjoyed the natural aftertaste and lightness of flavour it had. It tasted like peas. This has quite a strong note to it that doesn't taste quite as natural or unobtrusive. TEXTURE: It does dissolve and doesn't leave clumps in it like so many other powders. However, it is quite grainy and sandy. Not very pleasant but could be hidden if used as part of a pancake recipe. The other characteristics of this product are self-explanatory and are probably open knowledge to those buying it. We bought this because we hate synthetic, additive-stuffed alternatives with overly-long lists of misc chemicals and stimulants. You don't buy this stuff for the taste anyway, so no use crying about it. This product may grow on me with time, in which case I will update my review.

Good product but company won't disclose manufacturing process. I asked what the "enzymatic process" was that was involved in making this. I asked if it included the enzymes papain or bromelain. This was their very unhelpful answer: (notice the spelling of the word "inquiry"). Hi Nancy Thank you for your enquiry I'm afraid our production process is confidential information we are unable to disclose unfortunately.
