My Go-To for a Clean, Green Energy Boost
After trying several different brands of spirulina, I can confidently say that Sevenhills Wholefoods is the one I'll be sticking with. The quality is consistently top-notch. I was initially drawn to this product because of its impressive credentialsโit's Certified Organic and the company is transparent about its rigorous testing for heavy metals and other contaminants. This gives me complete peace of mind about what I'm putting into my body. The powder itself has a vibrant green colour and a fresh, slightly oceanic smell, which is exactly what you want from a pure spirulina. Yes, it has the distinct taste of spirulina (it is algae, after all!), but I find it milder than some other brands. It blends perfectly into my morning green smoothies. A heaped teaspoon with banana, spinach, and pineapple completely masks the flavour, and I'm left with a nutrient-packed drink that keeps me energised and focused throughout the morning. I've noticed a real difference in my overall well-being since making this a daily habit. My energy levels are more stable, and I just feel... healthier. For anyone looking to add a pure, high-quality superfood to their diet, I cannot recommend Sevenhills Wholefoods Spirulina Powder enough. It's a fantastic product and well worth the price for the quality you receive.

Its good stuff, better than tablets.
I used the tablets from another high street vendor, however prefer the natural stuff. Yes this stuff is natural and has a weird taste in water. However, you could add it to smoothies and soups or curry. Fine powder, but even mixing in water for ages it cloys and doesn't fully dissolve, but that is the nature of the stuff. I take a spoon in morning when I need a protein boost. Its pretty horrible on its own in water. Good sized bag, seems to work well. Better than my tablets but I combine it with MSM, as the bitter flavour from MSM and the flavor from this spirulina seem to cancel each other out

Green Spirulina powder.
Mixes well I add it to my juices. Good quality, no bad sides effects. Not sure how well it is making my system feel or not. I know it's meant to be good for me so I'm implementing it ๐๐พ Good quality and prices range.

Very good
I guess the gold standard for algae powders is Dr. Catharine Arnston's Energy Bits/Beauty Bits (spirulina) and Recovery Bits (chlorella) (not currently available on Amazon). But they are SO expensive, so I buy small amounts of them and am constantly looking elsewhere for high quality but affordable algae. This means algae that have been grown in clean, fresh water (so as not to take up heavy metals, microplastics, and other undesirables) and that have been dried with as little heat as possible (so as not to damage nutrients or denature critical enzymes). (Plus, in the case of chlorella, the cell wall must be "cracked"/broken, but I understand that nowadays producers are only allowed to sell cracked-cell chlorella.) Dr. Arnston claims that no other brand (unless you buy inconvenient fresh algae) addresses both these issues (clean water and low heat), but she does have a product to sell, and I like to believe that other producers are also aware of what makes an effective product. I also know, from long experience, that the taste is indicative. I've had spirulina (usually from India) that smells and tastes like old cow dung smells - absolutely unpalatable, and impossible to disguise. If it tastes that bad, it can't be good... I'm not saying that algae are inherently delectable (people generally seem to think chlorella is better tasting than spirulina), but good quality spirulina is at least palatable and, combined with certain other ingredients, can be really tasty. (For example, it's very nice in a protein shake with coconut milk and Ceylon cinnamon, and a tahini/spirulina/lemon/oregano salad dressing/sauce (with garlic if you like/can handle it) is really delicious, or it's great with ripe papaya.) This product claims to be produced in fresh water and with low heat. According to my personal/therefore subjective taste test, its flavour is slightly less good than Energy Bits, and also slightly less good than another brand that was on Amazon for a while). It also smells less good than it tastes (I was a bit concerned when I first opened the bag). But it's way, way better than many other brands on sale here, at least one of which is completely unpalatable. I find spirulina especially, and also chlorella, to be quasi-daily essentials - so full of nutrients, a significant protein contributor for someone with digestive issues and limited protein options, very fine powder and easy to digest, definitely reduces hunger. A bag of algae tablets and nuts is perfect travel food, but I love having the powder as a key shake ingredient, as liquid meals often go down best.

Good energy intake
I bought this to go with the rest of my morning intake, look up Barbera O'Brian, Spirulina was used by the Astronauts for energy in space. Be careful with it, the powder is very light, almost like dust, I keep it in a plastic tub separate from the rest of my ingredients.

Spirulina Forever
This spirulina powder is a great-tasting amazing product. However, it is not so easy to swallow, like any powder, so we usually always mix it with water. In my opinion, it has an absolutely amazing taste, compared with seaweed. Our family doesn't really like the taste of seaweed, so we are happy we started to order this spirulina powder instead. We are vegetarian so we use these supplements to help with our diet. Spirulina is an antioxidant, and a powerful source of nutrients. It has a plant-based protein, which is helpful to vegetarians and vegans, and it is a healthy supplement which is great. Overall, this is a great quality, healthy product with an adequate price.
