Ronseal 35303 High Performance Wood Filler - White 275g

This filler is especially good if you have larger areas to fill, but works equally well for small repairs. It dries very quickly as it's a two pack process with a hardener, so you also have to work pretty quickly or you will waste quite a bit. Don't mix up too much in one go. It's very easy to sand afterwards to a great smooth finish and has excellent adhesion. Works well with MDF as well as wood. It's a horrible smell but that soon goes once the hardener goes off. If you are painting the wood white afterwards the I recommend using the white version of the filler. Finally if you run out of the hardener and still have loads of filler left, if you hunt around you can find tubes of hardener for sale on their own.

Does what it says on the tin. I have used this product for over 25 years and just works very well. I also use this for filling holes in plasterboard as it sands very fine and smooth. Mixes easily and provides a smooth filler that dries quickly. I would give 5 stars if the tin was reflective of its contents. Less than half full when new is such a waste of packaging and also very deceiving to the consumer.

Amazing product. I bought this product to fix a footboard which is made of plywood, where the fitting broke free and ripped part of it out. So I used this filler, and it only took 30 minute to set. I then managed to drill the holes to fix the fitting to the footboard. I actually think the filler is stronger than the rest of the plywood. Really great product. I have taken off one star as it was so hard to get into the tin, it was a nightmare, and also it has a strong chemical smell, as you have to mix a hardener with the filler. Two days in and I can still smell it. But apart from that it is a really great product but apply it outside if you can.

Used with Ronseal wood rot, the first time I’ve used this, I followed the instructions and it worked well, it does dry fast maybe 5 to 10 minutes work time, so if you have a big area to do, mix up smaller batches. I sanded down with 80 grit and found this worked well and was easy to paint too.

There are a few brands of wood filler out there. This one is the best. However, I don't know anybody that can make the hardener last as long as the filler. Along with climate change, this is one of humankinds greatest challenges.
