I am doing Michael Mosley fast 800 diet. I wanted to test to see if I was in ketosis and these are perfect. On a day when I eat some berries & yoghurt & a few beans I end up showing the second pink marking (first stage of ketosis). It is so useful to experiment and see what I can eat and still be in ketosis. Eat too much and I stay in the light pink zone, (not in ketosis). Once a month I do a 44 hour no-food-fast & then it goes to a darker tone, ie further into ketosis. So utterly fascinating! More exercise or fewer calories also moves me into ketosis. All these things I never knew! I don't believe in the Akins diet, or prolonged full time ketosis which I think is harmful. My interest is in a Mediterranean low carb diet that touches on light ketosis. This seems to give excellent energy and good fat loss while preserving muscle. I also like to build "metabolic flexibility" which is the ability to easily move into and out of ketosis as desired. I am getting good at it. I never realised that calorie restriction as well as carb restriction can lead to ketosis. Michael's book is the first time I came across this and it works. I have also found that I can cycle for several hours at a gentle pace in a state of ketosis with no carbs which was something that I thought was not possible. In fact it feels really good & fat drops away. I am experimenting every day. These are very affordable & fast acting & easy to use. I pee in a pot and dip the stick in as that seems to give a more accurate reading. I am very grateful for this tool. I never expected this journey to be so much fun! Very easy to use and works well.

Reliable and easy to use ketone test strips. The results are clear and appear quickly, making them very convenient for regular keto monitoring. Packaging is simple and instructions are straightforward. I’ve taken off one star only because the color scale can be a bit subjective under different lighting, but overall they do exactly what they’re meant to do. Would recommend for anyone on a ketogenic diet.

These are excellent. React quickly, easy to compare to colour chart in container to see where you are in ketosis. I don’t keep them in the bathroom to keep them as dry as possible. Will definitely buy again.

I have now ordered 8 tubes of these keto sticks and probably only half of them have given a accurate reading. I can use two out of same pot and only one will show results

Now my 14th purchase . If you are beginning a keto diet,it is a good cheap buy. Unfortunately the more you progress the more your body adapts,on an individual basis. Typically a few weeks to months,sorry but that is the truth. When I started keto diet years ago,I entered ketosis quickly on a2 day fast. My monitoring ketotostix 2.0 to4+ . The numbers are what my body is expelling,not what my body is using. Blood ketone meter showed average 2.4. YES use ketostix,as you advance you will need a blood meter and see the different numbers.Blood meters are considered the gold standard. Bought 14 times they are a good product for measuring expelled ketones. Keto adaption : Google Keto Schwatka imperative.

These are excellent and provide accurate measurements to let you know where you are and how many ketones are present perfect when doing the keto diet. So easy to use, pee in a cup and dip the stick in and after 15 seconds compare with the ketones scale. I use it every day to make sure my dietary choices are good and to correct if as soon as possible.

Sto facendo un esperimento di circa un mese con una nutrizione (non dieta) ketogenica, per capire se la mia glicemia che stava diventando un po ballerina con accumulo di grassi che di solito andavano via velocemente, specialmente nella zona sopra l'ombelico. Nulla di esagerato ma avendo 47 anni meglio essere in forma prima che tutto cambi (si spera di no) :) In ogni caso volevo che l'esperimento fosse il piu' preciso possibile per capire quando il mio corpo sarebbe entrato in ketosi e come la glicemia e il grasso ne avrebbero risentito (cammino gia da prima, circa 10km al gg ma non vedevo risultati esagerati). Beh in soli 6 gg tutto e' cambiato! Come si vede dalla striscia (che fino a 2 gg fa era a ketosi leggera) oggi si e' scurita molto e sto entrando nella fase "pesante". Quindi per me che sto limitando i carboidrati a meno di 20grammi (che fatica!! ahah) sono cominciata a entrare in ketosi in circa 3 gg.e al 5 gg ho avuto la svolta. Lo vedo anche da come mi vestono i jeans, ora finalmente nessun rotolino che spunta e sto davvero in forma come prima!Ovviamente una alimentazione cosi non e' sostenibile per me nel lungo periodo ma reintrodurro i carboidrati lentamente e mi terro' piu bassa di prima (aiutata da queste strisce che sembrano molto valide e facili da leggere). Importante, seguire bene le istruzioni, io aspetto che le mie urine siano concentrate, di solito dopo la camminata o la sera, uso un barattolo sterile e metto la zona reagentea mollo per un secondo. poi conto fino a 15 (o potete settare il cellulare se preferite). I risultati si leggono a 15 secondi. Dopo possono essere falsati e dopo un po la striscia diventa sul grigio quando e' asciutta, quindi non e' difettata, funziona cosi. Non fatevi spaventare dalle istruzioni, lunghe e dettagliate e soprattutto utili per i diabetici (che non devono avere troppi chetoni o e' pericoloso). per chi non ha questo problema, entrare in chetosi e' diverso. Ma parlatene sempre con un medico. Io faro' le analisi per verificare che tutto stia procedendo bene e i miei organi non siano sovraccarichi o altro. per le strisce do 5 stelle perche' fanno perfettamente il loro dovere. Consiglio il barattolo piuttosto che metterle sotto il flusso di urina, e' piu' preciso. Le ricomprero' di sicuro. Ne uso una al giorno quindi anche il rapporto qualita' prezzo e' buono!

Arrived on time, they work well. The plastic tab keeps you from urinating on your hand. I keep them to check in on my state of ketosis. Cheaper than the ones my pharmacy was selling. You can't cut these to use them however, the reactive strip is only on the tip. The colour guide on the side is spot on and easy to reference.
