Tefal ActiFry Low Fat Fryer, 1 kg - Black

This is a fantastic device. The main problem I find with frying is the smell that persists after you are finished with the pan of oil, which you do not get with this. The actifryer makes the food crispy but doesn't leave it oily. It also doesn't leave the food dry. I tend to use it for potato wedges, and it leaves them fluffy inside and crispy outside. The main benefit is that you can leave it running without having to worry about the oil igniting. It makes cooking easy, and for someone as lazy as me it's great being able to leave it cooking while I watch TV. The design of the product is also snazzy and modern.

Having spent some time reading reviews of several air fryers, I settled on the Actifry and paid a bit more than I originally budgeted for. I am glad I did. The stirrer saves taking out the pan and shaking it ( as required by cheaper models) as it slowly turns and stirs the food so that it ends up with even cooking and browning. So far I have cooked chicken and chips together, sausages and saute potatoes together and added carrots to the latter after 10 minutes . These all came out exceptional well and tasted very good. The only mistake I made was when I initially cooked chips by themselves to try it out and did not measure the weight of the chips. I set the timer for too long and they were just a bit overcooked ( but still tasted OK). Buy one you will not be dissapointed ( and will eat healthier)

Best thing I ever bought... makes my life sooo much easier. I can just throw in vegies, chips, chicken.. just about anything and walk away for 1/2 hour, doing something else why my food is cooking away happily. Was sceptical.. but the chips are lovely and crispy. So much easier to clean and safer than a normal fryer... Love it :)

Great product, only used it once though as only arrived yesterday. Cooked 1kg of chips in 40mins as stated. Says feeds 4 people. Hmmmm, I think for a family with hungry children it may be wise to consider a larger capacity model, but thats just my personal opinion. For 2 to 3 adults its fine, 4 adults, will give a small portion of chips as a side dish to a main meal. Fantastic to use, as no frying smell or smoke/steam in the kitchen, all removable parts dishwasher safe, easy to use, very small amount of oil used so healthier than traditionally cooked chips, no dirty oil or sticky deep fat fryers to deal with ....awesome. Is a tad noisy though.

It arrived either the tomer part broken and hangs off each time lid opens but I’m not worried about that. What does worry me is how hot the lid gets during use. You have to try to hold it when you open as its on a spring but Blimey be careful folks it’s dangerously hot. Does what it says though very good product judge carefully on timing until you get used to it because with frozen fries it took about 15mins not 25 as shown on actual machine

I bought this Actifry as a birthday present for my 19 year old son (I know it sounds odd.... but you'd understand if you met him) who is into healthy living and cooking. We can't comment on chips as we don't have them ever. It is mainly used for stir frys.... and for that purpose it is perfect. Meats stay moist inside and everything cooks so evenly. His older brother has one too and says he uses it more than his cooker.

We bought this to replace an earlier Actify bought some years ago and subjected to much abuse bouncing around in the back of a motorhome. Simple and easy to use it allows us to indulge in the eating of chips without the guilt of deep fat frying :). We preferred this design to the alternative because it allows chips to be cooked without having to interrupt the process mid-way through for a "shake". Good for chips, small roast potatoes and, basically, anything else you would cook in a deep fat fryer - but without the excess of fat.

I am so pleased with this ! I was sceptical but I was proved wrong. I bought it to replace a traditional deep fat fryer. Chips really are crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. All with such little oil. I don't think there is a compromise on taste either. You can do many other things with this, of which I have yet to try. Buy it : )
