It works, and it works well!
It started with a couple of ants...Found in my conservatory, a spray outside of a 'similar' product, appeared to do the job...Or so I thought.A few days later there were more ants, so I used caulk to seal the gap between laminate floor and skirting board trim, this appeared to do nothing other than give the ants an excuse to find any possible gap that was left in the vicinity, which they did, including 1 super-ant who appeared to break through caulk (he must have had his weetabix). In tribute to that particular ant, I let him escape outside, a mark of respect for what he had done, with a warning that a re-appearance would not be tolerated, I would assume he heeded the warning, if he did not and was caught in the battle mentioned below, RIP super-ant.Basically, caulking the gaps was not working, so much so, that they ended up coming through under the door between lounge and conservatory, which was a total pain, this was now time for a proper battleplan.Stage 1 = This involved lifting up the carpet in the lounge, and placing small amounts of ant-powder all across the edges, followed by a spray of 'Dethlac' a double solution you could say. Basically any point they were getting in there from, was blocked with powder and spray. Put the carpet back down (gently, so as not to get a cloud of ant powder in your face)That ended their advance into the lounge, and kept them inside the conservatory, where I had deliberately left 1 small hole near the skirting, every so often, I would see an ant poke its head out of there, and have a wander around. That to me, meant, the problem was not solved, merely slowed down.Stage 2 = Find the entry point, given I had not seen any obvious routes into the house, and had placed ant powder outside the entire perimeter of the conservatory, without success, the only place they could realistically be coming from, would be under the patio door (again, this was not visible but seemed the only plausible route in).Out came the Dethlac, sprayed under the outside of the door, including the gaps around it, and the gap between the door opening/sliding part. The result, no more ants.I had been recommended Dethlac, by a family member. and noticed it was not readily available in the usual stores, and whilst I am not saying other products would not work, it would seem Dethlac is the best, certainly in my experience.I will probably re-spray the area every 2 months or so, over the summer, and that should hopefully keep the ants away.

Great product.
Every year garden, house walls & kitchen infested with ants. Don't like powders as they get everywhere and we have hedgehogs in the garden. Used to use this product when I was growing up as it was always a major issue so was pleased to see it was still available. Sprayed all round the pipes, window frames and doorway where they usually come in and so far none seen this summer at all. As flying ant week approaches I have sprayed all the cracks and crevices in the house wall where they usually invade and again so far so good. Recommend.

Great stuff. Keeps out ants and woodlice in our home
I use this spray every 6 months as I'm in a rental house with a serious ant infestation in the foundations. Every spring they invade our house through gaps in the skirting boards and door frames. Later on in the year we get lots of woodlice too coming up through the foundations. Obviously I don't want to spend a small fortune redoing all the skirting boards several times a year so we gave this a try once... never looked back! It's fabulous stuff. It's makes a fatal barrier between our home and the foundations so the little buggers can't get up. You do need to reapply (we find every 6 months to be enough) and I advise you have a good clean first if possible. If there's any dirt or ant carcasses when you spray be prepared to look at it for a few months. It does whiff something awful too so ventilate as much as you can. Having a dog and cat I spray room by room which works just fine and means I don't have to worry about poisoning them.

Not the best
Seems to be mildly effective at best when it comes to woodlice. I have issues with them getting in in an old house so filled as many gaps as possible with filler and wire wool and soaked the areas with this after. Still found alive ones getting through. Rentokill seemed to work a bit better but still not 5 star.
