This is not shown in the manufacturer picture - perhaps it's an older model. The panel is not removable - it is sewn in on one side and secured with the velcro tab on the other side. It seemed every other day I had to give it a jump and I jumped it four times without even having to recharge it before I could finally get my car and the battery changed and the problem with the battery was only six months old.. I’m so glad for this battery jumper. I highly recommend it for the money and it’s compact and not heavy. This is a brand I would buy. And it’s still got a full battery charge on it.
