A great High Grade RX-78-2
Another great High Grade for my collection. However, hot take: I prefer the entry grade RX-78-2. Namely for 2 reasons, the entry grade head doesn’t use stickers and uses a more advanced version of colour separation which just looks better. And secondly, the entry grade is chair and easy to build meaning customs are very easy to create. However, the multiple accessories you get with this High Grade doesn’t match the entry grade, which is what gives this high grade an edge. It’s a great kit either way, stickers aren’t too awkward and the pose-ability is the typical Gundam quality

Better then expected
I honestly didn't think much of it when I bought it but after assembly I was impressed.A solid frame, no loose joints, and plenty of accessories and ways to mount them.Well worth the investment as a hobby builder.

Absolutely perfect for novice builders
There's really no better Gundam kit to start off the gunpla hobby than with this one. Its cheap, its easy to put together and its the very first Gundam ever seen on Japanese TV, the most iconic one (as in it had a ginormous statue built for it in Tokyo that nowadays is replaced with the Unicorn Gundam,) the one Amuro Ray basically fell into the piloting seat of and won the One Year War with.If you're importing, the instructions are in Japanese but the diagrams are very easy to follow and clearly indicate which runner and/or polycap you'll need for the next part and how to put said parts together, and like all good Gunpla kits, no glue or primary painting is required to complete it. You'll probably need an x-acto knife to clean up any left over nub marks (I kinda slacked off on this) but after that it looks great. Its also easy to add panel lining and weathering to if you want to spice up the look a bit although even without those it looks just fine on a shelf or table. It has all the main accessories and stuff including different hands for holding its weapons, its got the famous shield, two beam saber effects, its beam rifle and a bazooka that it can hold with the closed hands that you can put together (along with a trigger finger hand for the beam rifle,) and a rear clip that you can put on to mount the bazooka off of Gundam's waist. The only weapons it lacks are the Beam Javelin and the Gundam Hammer (a flail it used sometimes) since those were only given out in certain issues of a Japan-only Gundam magazine. And yeah he's very posable. You can mimic just about most poses that Gundam did in the anime which includes the Last Shooting pose (though if you want to complete that look you could remove the head and left arm so it looks like the Zeong got at it,) moreso if you have a stand to mount Gundam on.Don't quite like dealing with stickers though. There's 6 of them, but they're mostly small and hard to position properly though taking the time to apply them makes him look fantastic if you can bear it.But really, at that price, you can't ask for a better way to start this hobby off. There's other High Grade "Revive" kits out there that you can go for after this one but start with this one to get a real good feel for gunpla. You won't regret it.

Not a good buy at more than £20!
This product is severely overpriced at the moment. It shouldn't be more than £20, and retails for approx £10 in Japan.Be careful when you buy, there are much better models to be had at £25+

Best starter gunpla
Arrived on time in good condition, the gunpla itself is a great starting point for anyone looking to get into the hobby, it's easy to build and has good pose-ability but to really elevate it from simply toy-like to fancy model it needs a lot of love (sanding, painting, decals, panel lining) but at its offer price this makes it a great kit to practice and experiment techniques on. My only negative was that it is much smaller than I initially thought it would be, but as a 1/144 scale for this particular gundam that is to be expected. There are also larger/advanced kits available.

Top tier high grade
Fantastic model of the RX-78-2!Comes with pretty much everything you'd want to come with the RX78. Beam rifle, beam sabers, hyper bazooka, shield, open hands and trigger finger hand. The only other thing I'd probably want would maybe be a core fighter, however that might be pushing it a bit.Not to mention the lack of stickers. There are only about four in this kit. One for the eyes, one for the gold v on the waist And two red stickers for the head cameras. Many of these can be painted yourself so you may not need the stickers at all if you intend to paint.
