Incredible
Blistering speed - for my first time ever the CPU got a higher score than GPU (RX480) in 3D Mark (Time Spy test). Intel makes really good processors, I'm utterly amazed how they fit four cores *and* a very decent GPU into this tiny processor with such reliability and performance. It's quite expensive but there are features that justify the price for me: 1. Build in Graphics processor is very decent - it handles all web browser graphics and video, and can drive multiple screens. If you do not need the sort of power to play top end games, you will not need to buy a separate graphics card. 2. It's designed to be overclocked - I'll reserve that for the future. At the moment it doesn't need any improvement from the factory settings; but in 5 years' time, who knows? It will help it keep up with newer models, therefore increasing its longevity. It arrives factory sealed with permanent tape over the box flap. Intel does not spend its money on packaging but it's adequately protected. You need a cooler to go with it, I'm using Cooler Master Hyper TX3i. As usual, pins are on the motherboard, not the CPU, and installation is easy - but also very scary, considering the price. The trickiest part is after installation - attaching the heat sink and stressing over the perfect paste application. Temperatures are around 35℃ most of the time, 40-45℃ during 3D Mark GPU tests and 80℃ during CPU test. As mentioned, I have never had a CPU that blasted through the 3D Mark tests like this - Time Spy CPU test starts at 60 FPS, and finishes at 18FPS without overclocking.

Top processor at a great price , and also great service from Amazon !
I have upgraded from an i5 7600k wich was 100% load in games like Battlefield 1 . I did heard about the overheating problems that i7 7700k processors have , but I believe it's only luck that keeps you from getting a good processor . In my case , the first one was heating up bad , even on watercooling on an expensive system. so I decided to speak to amazon to see if I can get another one as a replacement .they were helpful as always and they understood my problem . I just installed the replacement and I must say it is a big improvement . The first one was getting up to 90c max temp , while this one stays at around 70c max. on the exact same system and cooling . Thanks to amazon's great customer service I was able to get the performance I was after for the top money I paid . great processor if you game a lot like me , and future proof also .

To be honest the FPS is better slightly at the highs but the minimums are way ...
From what Ive seen so far. Beast of a gaming CPU and that's all I use this rig for. I don't stream or do any 4k (or otherwise) rendering with it. I have an X99 rig for that if needed but that's being used by the other half at the mo. Temps run hotter than I'm use too with the X99 5820k. The H80 V2 was what I used with the 5820k and then for a short while with the 7700k. I've bought a Kraken x62 which is a cracking bit of kit and keeps the temps around 49-54c on load @ 4.5GHz in ghost recon wildlands. I'll be overclocking it up to 5ghz when I get a bit of free time. Paired the 7700k with an Asus Apex using Trident Z memory. To be honest the FPS is better slightly at the highs but the minimums are way better and stable for the games I use. I hope this helps someone!

That's what I was told and did and couldn't be happier with my purchase
If your thinking of buying an i5-7600k, just save up and buy the i7-7700k. That's what I was told and did and couldn't be happier with my purchase. Fast and powerful proccessing power and next best thing if you cant afford i7-8700k. Plus if you think you need a liqued cooler for it you don't because the cooler master hype evo 212 is enough for it for gaming atleast on the i7-7700k. Temps stay between 45-55 degrees Celsius when under load of games like the witcher 3: wild hunt. If your not happy with that I think it's ok to add another fan onto the other side of the hyper evo to have a push and pull configuration just research it to make sure otherwise get a 240mm liquid cooler it's expensive but efficient. If you also do plan on doing a lot of overclocking at high speeds where the voltage go's up significantly I recommend going with a 240mm liquid cooler.

Intel Core I7-7700K is fast, fluid and great for multi tasking on high end PCs.
Intel Core I7-7700K is fast, fluid and great for multi tasking on high end PCs alongside a powerful gpu such as an GTX 1060 or beyond. Didn't keep it for long because I thought I had damaged the underside of mine with thermal paste, turns out I didn't and was sent back for nothing, error on my part. My only gripe with these modern CPUs is how small and easily damaged they can get if handled incorrectly. The old big chunky ones were near impossible to break they were that strong lol. Compact and light though, get this if you can for a gaming PC build.

This processor is awesome. I recently upgraded from a 3770k to the 7700k, and MAN is the difference amazing. The reason for the upgrade was I got a GTX 1080, and it was being bottlenecked by my CPU and RAM. That bottleneck has been alpha and omega'd. It's destroyed. I couldn't be happier with the processing speeds. Games like playerunknown's battlegrounds (which are heavily CPU based due to lack of current optimization) are running significantly smoother. When I stream playerunknown's, for example, OBS's cpu load is typically between 1-2%, which means it doesn't impact my gaming experience at all. Doesn't get any better than that. •• Current Overclock •• I'm currently rocking my Z270-A mobo's built in turbo 4.9ghz overclock (haven't bothered manually OC'ing yet), and temps are fantastic. Keep in mind, I went all out and bought an H100 v2 watercooler, which I can also highly recommend. It's worth every penny. •• Addressing The Bad Reviews •• I'll never understand reviews that drop two lines and say something like: "runs really hot, even with my great watercooling setup." First off, that gives me very limited information. I don't know about his building history. Is it his first time? Did a friend build it for him? Is he overclocking WRONG? Did he get it all put together from a store, and the employees messed something up? The reason I say this is because my experience has been the complete opposite. My buddy recently purchased the same CPU with an NZXT watercooler, and he runs around 30 degrees idling in a hot, Calgary summer. Similarly, mine runs at 29 when not under load and fluctuates between 55-65 when playing games like the Witcher 3 with Ultra everything (and maxed hairworks). It sounds like that person's cooling system either isn't actually working or there's a major thermal paste issue... or a "no thermal paste issue." •• Conclusion •• If you want a processor that will crush triple A gaming titles for the next 5 years, this is an excellent buy. When the i9 and above drops, the 7700k's price may fall even lower... so keep your eyes open for sales. I couldn't be happier with this processor.
