Comparing this gate with another brand we have, this gate isnt anywhere close to same quality.The locking mechanism is chintzy. A few pieces of plastic that have to come together correctly to lock. We have to make sure its locked. Our other gate just locks.Im not unhappy enough to uninstall and return it, but I wouldn't buy it again.

Product tension bolts do not fit into the gate or extensions securely making this unusable at best, a death trap if you do try to use it. For a tension-mounted gate, you need secure and right mounting bolts. This should removed from Amazon for safety

Keeping my 15 month old grandson off the stairs

This was set-up in 5 minutes and then again 5 minutes later when my wife wanted it rearranged. It feels very sturdy in the doorway using just the adjustable feet! We are ordering another one!
