Hair, Hair, Everywhere Someone's been digging up Mrs. Ruston's tomatoes. She thinks it's Noelle's dog, Rover, and unless Noelle can find the real thief, Rover's in big trouble. It's the hairiest case yet for Mr. Merlin's Third-Grade Detectives. Hair in Mrs. Ruston's tomato patch, hair in Amber Lee's hamburger -- can Noelle and Todd comb through the evidence and solve the mystery? Review: Great book for my second-grader - My Granddaughter and I had a great time reading a chapter or two each night as a bedtime story. She just entered second grade as was able to successfully read the story when it was her turn (we took turns reading 1-2 pages each). She could read probably 95 - 98% of the words in the book and it was a great learning experience sounding out and understanding the meaning of the words she was unfamiliar with, e.g. "evidence". She was immediately interested by the funny title and I've since ordered her a couple more of the Third Grade Detective stories. Review: Awesome read! Keeps The Kids Engaged! - I purchased this for the books in this series for my little cousin, not knowing about them beforehand. She immediately started reading them, writing down clues, and excited to see if she got it right in the end! I always looked forward to her excitement and happy to see that she was enjoying reading!

Great series!
My son is 8 years old and really enjoys reading the the "Third Grade Detective" series. He normally reads one of these books in about 1 hour. They are written at a level he can comprehend and enjoy. We have the whole collection with the exception of a few that are out of stock (we are eagerly awating their arrival). Delivery service was prompt, and exceeded expectations.

These series of books are great. I bought it for my soon to be 9 years old that is in currently in 3rd grade. The difficult part was making him put the book down.

never say "uncle"
My third grade granddaughter was reading this series of fun paragraph books. (she didn't realize her brain just learned a little something, too) It is just long enough to enjoy but not to long. I highly recommend this book series for any third grade boy or girl.
