Great practice
My pre K daughter who is hesitant to write loves doing these. Ink does disappear. I read other reviews about getting larger size books. Glad I did. They were perfect size. Plenty of refills help too.

Disappointed
I purchased for around $20 to use in a special education classroom, first grade. Because many of the children have dexterity issues, and are delayed with other skills including writing.Upon opening the books for the first time out of the package the first thing I noticed was that the print is exceptionally small. For beginners it is suggested that the print is larger so that they can slowly over time hone their ability to write finer print. This is not just the case for children with special needs but also mainstream children learning to write as well. These books, sized as they are, are more appropriate for children who have much more experience with handwriting, which confuses me why you would offer the assistance of embossed pages with children that have more experience already. As for the durability, the pages over not super durable. More like they're very similar to regular page texture instead of a thick cardstock which is what I feel they should have been made out of. If they had been made out of cardstock then the guides would have been a lot more effective. also when a child actually presses down medium hardness on the page while writing, it leaves indentions in the page that do not fade with time. Those new indentions are actually misguiding the children' pen later when they reuse the books.

Good producg
Good product, but the font seems small for the target audience: beginning writers

Great for the little one
We have a four-year-old in pre-K already who loves to use these books. They are kid friendly and simple to use!

Very small for young learners
I saw a review stating that the writing is very small, but thought it would be fine. Well, it's really very small, so if you are looking for a book to help your preschooler learn their letters, this might not be the best. I think it will be great to work on penmanship for early school age kids, around Kindergarten. My 3 year old daughter seems to like it, so we are keeping it in the hopes of her getting better pen control to be able to truly use these books.

Great practice for preschooler!
My 4.5 year old son is loving these books. He's getting some good practice with his letters and numbers, and is mystified by the disappearing ink. They've come with us just about every time we've left the house since we've gotten them - that's a good review in itself.

Missing items
Whereas i rceived the order it was missing items. Order has the ink but not the pencil holder the ink goes into. Can't use the ink without the holder as is too thin for my 5yr old grandson to hold comfortably, therefore pointless. I actually received chalk instead.

Good concept for children just learning to write!
I ordered these for my 7 year old for Christmas. She enjoys writing and is working on her reading. I thought she would really enjoy these books, and the disappearing ink was kind of cool for a second, but she hasn't really used them since Christmas. With that said, the variety of the books is great - math, reading, ect., and the set comes with a lot of pens! There are 4 pen cases and 40 refill cartidges and a cute little carrying case! She actually loved the case; it had a picture of a cat on it! The pens are easy to use and change out the inks, and the ink disappears with time.I will probably add the books to her homework routine, just to get some more use and add something else for her to accompany her 1st grade packet. I would highly recommend these for anyone looking to give their child practice with dexterity, motor skills, writing skills!
