Almost everything about this laptop was in great order….unfortunately the battery was kaput. It gave medium poor performance for the first month, and techs I talked to said what I saw as well: “all the internal performance metrics say the battery is good”. Right around the end of the warranty (unluckily for me) battery life went to 20 seconds, maximum. If unplugged; died. The autopsy afterwards was that a third party component had been used, a cell in the battery was swollen and at risk of major (dangerous) failure, and I’m left with not even five cents of trade-in value. Total loss after just a few months, had to buy a replacement from a different company. Beware.

Love it

The laptop looks great and work without a hitch so far, but it's just been a couple of days. The specs said it was an i9 2.9Ghz but I got a 2.4 one instead. On the other hand I was supposed to get a 2TB drive but got a 4TB one instead. I am ok with that trade-off. The battery is healthy and the charger works. It's thin, lightweight but as you may know, that thing runs hot on demanding tasks like video editing and audio production. The Butterfly keyboard design is also annoying, but that is an Apple design and has nothing to do with the seller. The laptop arrived ahead of time. The only reason I am taking a star out is the packaging. It was bubble-wrapped in a single layer and put is a fedEx box where that thing was just bouncing around. Luckily, the laptop was unscathed. There are a few scratches on the lid opening and the screen seems to "stick" when it's closed. I hear a velcro-ish sound every time I open the lid. Other than that, it still is a fast machine that works great so far. Do your research before buying an intel mac as these things have their issues from the manufacturer. Be sure you know the pros and cons and that support for these models will end this year.

These are Graduation gifts, They like the apple. I prefer Microsoft Surface Pro. Amazon placed them in 24 hrs to my hand. Fast I like the system 2TB at 32Gb It will not be a tablet. That they have. Low cost their adventure. One was platinum other was silver. Amazon Delivered.

The device came as expected, it took awhile to get used to the absence of systems preferences. The most serious is issue is that the battery is faulty, will not keep charged beyond ten minutes. There is a warning message that the battery needs to be serviced. It came without the apple charger .

Revised review. I bought the computer 5/10, it is now 7/22 and the computer is completely dead. I bought the insurance butI have to go through Asurion through Amazon and it has been one big runaround. I would not buy a computer from Amazon in general and this seller specifically. Revised review. The seller stepped up and did the right thing. He reimbursed me for the new cord. The computer itself looks brand new and works wonderfully. I would still recommend buying a charging cord setup simply because the reviews seem to have charger issues as a common theme. It will save you the frustration when the computer arrives. I got the computer and it was completely dead so I put it on the charger and nothing happened. Rather than just send it back, I decided to take it to the asurian store since there's one very near our home. It turned out that the computer was fine, but that the cord was not it was bent up the little connection. Things inside were all bent and broken thankfully, the charging block work as well. It was just a cord so the seller owes me $32 for the new cord I had to buy. if the seller comes through and does the right thing and pays me back for the cord, I had to buy then I'll come back and readjust this review otherwise buyer beware I'd highly recommend if you bought one of his computers you just go out and buy your own charging cord and block ahead of time and have it ready because according to the majority of these reviews, we all get crappy cords
