Review: Good Replacement - This was my fourth order, all from different sellers/manufacturers. All previous hinges had rough edges from laser cut. I was also concerned that, unlike the original hinges installed 16 year ago, none had small adjusting screws at the back edge for final positioning of the glass door. This set fit well and installation was relatively easy and straightforward, other than a second person was needed as the 3/8 thick glass door is quite heavy. I decided to reuse the original 8 stainless steel mounting screws to the wall as the ones provided with the hinges were about half inch shorter. I also added more bearing grease for longer life and then after final installation I caulked around the hinges with silicone. Basic replacement instructions not provided with the hinges would have been useful, but I would still recommend this product.

**Q: do I need to drill the glass for mounting?**
A: You cannot drill tempered glass ever. Your glass has to have pre-rectangular notches in it to use this hinge set. Btw this is not brass but some cast alloy and is junk that I would not trust 1/4 or 3/8 glass door on.

**Q: There is no cutsheet or template in any of the boxes? I received over 10 of these and none of them had any kind of cutsheet or template! If these hing**
A: This is hardware .. Your supposed to be replacing ..therefore you don't need to cut new template. Or your creating and line up the hinges on the side of the glass. Make off the screw holes with marker. This is tempered glass so I think you have to drill holes before the temper process. 

Look up how to drill holes in tempered glass on YouTube.

**Q: Get installation instructions beforehand?**
A: Hinges are heavy duty 
Shim the door on the bottom and both sides if your talking or replacing. 1/8 inch gap works. I used wood shims. Takes two people. You on inside person outside. 
Screws are hex drive. 
Tighten . Really tight .. You have the weight of the door. Rubber grommits yes.  
Mount hinges with the door in closed position so younger the gaps right. 

Hopefully you have straight tile walls. If no you may need to put a clear rubber sweep down the handle side to fill the wall gap. 
Good luck. 
Ps .. Glass doors are heavy so if your replacing do one hinge at a time. I would start with top one first. Shimming is the key to easy job. It positions the door.

Hinges are built like a tank! I did not need the self closing feature and I was able to remove the springs by removing the 2 screws on the back. They did not come with mounting instructions but it was pretty obvious looking at the cut out diagram what needed to be done. One note, the diagram calls for 6.5mm (0.26in) holes to be drilled. In order for these hinges to sit flush I needed to use a 1/2in bit. It would have been much easier if I used the 1/2in to begin with 😅
