Does this yarn work well for punch needle crafts?

I'm going to say yes. I haven't tried it yet with punch needle but it works fabulous with plastic canvas projects.

I have made slippers with this yarn, but because they are so small you need to buy multiples to get all the yarn in the same color.

Does anyone know what color the middle blue is called?
