Hands down, this is the BEST, meatiest, canned/jarred tuna on the market! PLEASE don't use it to make your mother's mayo and pickle relish tuna salad!!! It comes in huge "sticks" and although I've never succeeded in getting them out of the jar entirely whole, these are big, delicious CHUNKS worthy of shining on their own (warm them on top at the last minute) of your best pasta and parm. Or plated in a Salad Nicoise with boiled potatoes, lightly cooked fresh green beans, hard boiled eggs, tomatoes and a great vinegarette. AND little black olives (Nicoise) if possible! When I'm feeling very self indulgent a very favorite combination is with white canellini beans, chopped onions, maybe celery, certainly pitted Kalamata olives, extra nice tomato pieces, some fresh basil, a little garlic and dress with balsamic and your best drizzling olive oil with some flakes of parmesan. Sometimes I add a small jar of marinated artichoke hearts. This Mediterranean version is SO HEALTHY, and you will NEVER feel deprived when this tuna is on your plate. AND, buying it by the case from Amazon saves a huge amount over your grocery store -- if they even carry it.

Pricey but superb product. I was a little edgy about the reviews that cited loose lids on the jars. All the ones I received were sealed tightly. Made an excellent tuna salad

My whole family loves this tuna fish! I have shared it with a few friends who all think it’s wonderful, and they feel spoiled to any other kind of tuna now! A bit pricey, but worth every penny! Delicious

I need to grab protein however I can get it. This is hands down the BEST tuna I have ever had and it is absolutely worth the price of nearly 6$ a jar. I eat this exactly like it is, straight out of the jar. I do not use any mayonnaise at all. I have made tuna salad with this and it was exceptionally good but I would not usually use this high quality jar for tuna salad. This is a powerhouse for keto diets- i do add one grind of remonds salt. I also like this with a little coconut aminos and toasted sesame seeds on top with avocado on the side—- amazing faux ahi tuna keto combo to completely smash Asian food cravings that can have sugars and carbs hiding everywhere. So why the -1 star…. The shipping is soooo inconsistent. This is packed really well with dividers and a thick cardboard to protect everything. I have ordered this 4-5x and only 2x the pieces were mostly whole chunks as they should be. During the shipping these must get tossed around so much sometimes the thick chunks it should come in are all smashed into pieces… which it’s still really good to eat, but I really like the texture of the thick chunks and pulling it apart in thick pieces. It’s just not the same when it’s all smashed up.. maybe the seller can add an extra layer of protection, but I don’t think it’s the seller I think it’s Amazon tossing everything and disregarding “fragile”. This gets to grocery stores intact….

The tuna is fantastic! Unfortunately, shipping is not. Only 4 jars are usable. One jar was completely open and had saturated the box and everything in it. Another jar had the lid popped so it was unusable. It’s kind of expensive for only 4 jars.

I love the Tonnino Ventresca tuna, but it’s become prohibitively expensive, so I’ve bought the tasty yellowfin a few times. More than once, it came leaking olive oil, so I’d given up ordering, but decided to try once more; I’m glad that I did! This order was packaged perfectly, with tremendous care; I wouldn’t hesitate to order from this vendor again.
