That person must hv really long legs. I'm 5'7. The belt is the perfect size for the bedroom or living room usage. If you need something longer and wider, you need a actual treadmill. I hv a treadmill in my basement gym, but I wanted this one for the living room for times when I want a gentle walk & don't feel like going in the basement. I don't recommend running on this. I was trying to get more steps every day, and the first day I got this a doubled my step count forever. I love to walk on it and read. It's very easy to use.Two weeks into using it-- it started making loud noise and being awful! I contacted the seller, and they are sending me the defective part replacement to fix it. If that doesn't work, I don't doubt that they will continue to help or send me a new machine. I feel good about this purchase still, and have faith that they're fixing it.
