Good activity for kids but quite difficult to get started with it, a lot of practice needed.

The media could not be loaded.  This set is greatWe have previously done paracord braiding but before kits like this were out on the market to buy! we had to use a piece of wood with nails in to hold the cord whilst we braided lots of different styles!This is quite addictive me and my sons thoroughly enjoyed making zip pullers and keyrings from this, so many different styles you can make if you search up paracord online.Adult supervision is required for mastering the cutting and finishing off.Highly recommend - super kit

I grew up with a friendship bracelet set which I ordered and reeled out many bracelets for anyone that accepted them. The original version I had many years ago, didn't have the cool and easy to use base unit. I simply had a set of threads, a large safety pin and and instructions.Back then, the instructions stated that I tie a large loose knot to one of all my selected threads and attach the bracelet to a cushion by way of included large safety pin and use the cushion as a base to keep everything together and to give me the resistance I needed to tie good knots.I like that this is a self-enccompassing set, it means out seven year old can use the set on-the-go during our increasingly long journeys and even whilst travelling out of the country.All the times can then be neatly tucked away into the large compartment witithn the base so nothing gets lost. As a well-established friendship bracelet maker from my own youth, I am quite impressed by the way this new set is designed - it was the one thing missing back them. I had to keep all the kit together in bag which could only be used when I had a cushion at home or away.The instructions are neatly set out in a colour illustrated way. I suggest your little one starts off with attempting the simpler ones before trying her hand at something more challenging. it takes a bit of practise with the basics before you can dive right in.5 stars

The bracelets use an elastic band as the base and fastener system for the bracelets. You knot/braid the cord around the band and then use the elastic to fasten the button closure. The set includes the very cute whale-shaped case/braiding board, which opens to reveal 3 compartments decorated with a sea-themed texture. The top of the case can be propped up to work on, and the bands are held by repositionable colorful pegs. There is a handy ruler (english and metric) imprinted on the underside of the case. The set includes colorful satin braiding cord, elastics, and the button clasps, plus stickers to decorate them. The only additional supplies you need are scissors for cutting the cord, and glue for stabilizing the ends. The instructions are highly detailed. They're a little overwhelming at first, but the color coding helps you follow them step by step. The only think I don't love is that the closure doesn't seem very secure. I don't trust it to stay closed and not spill the contents everywhere. I recommend using a flat rubber band to secure it shut (the glossy finish means a fabric covered band might be too slippery). But for the price and clever design, I'm very happy with this set.

Meine Tochter ist 6 Jahre . Allein würde sie dies nicht verstehe und die Beschreibung ist zu kompliziert- ich hätte es rein von dem Bildern nicht verstanden .Haben uns dann ein YouTube Video angeschaut und dann ging es wie von selbst :) meine Tochter konnte es dann gleich allein ! Tolle Qualität und habe sie hat mir gleich ein Band zum Geburtstag gemacht !
