Ospreyunisex-adult Flare 28 Laptop Backpack

I’m a big fan of Osprey backpacks. They’re thoughtfully designed. Lightweight but strong. Rugged but refined. And they come in a wide range of colors, sizes, and configurations. This bag—the Flare—is my fav of all for daily life. It has a small pocket on top for small items you want to access quickly, like earbuds; an open stretch pocked on the front for things you want to throw into the bag quickly without zipping it open; a deeper front pocket with a zipper and places for your cell phone etc; and a main compartment with pockets for a laptop, iPad, books, etc. It’s just enough bag without being too much bag. I’ve been using my old Flare bags for about a decade. The new ones have been tweaked specifically for daily use. Eg. The chest and waist straps (which I cut off the old ones) have been eliminated. The side pockets for drinks are deeper now to accommodate large water bottles. And, the overall look is boxier and more sleek. Good redesign!

My larger Osprey was just too much space to carry the few things I need for work every day. I bought this one as a daily carry and it works out perfect.

I needed a bag to hold my laptop and some other things for work. Was actually at a local store and saw this bag unexpectedly and it was VERY nice. Looked on Amazon and it was $20 cheaper so ordered it.Bag is very high quality, the materials seem like they will last a long time, padded area for laptop is very nice, has a non scratch compartment which is great for sunglasses or electronics. Also like the style and design of the bag, needed something that looks a little nicer being as it’s a work bag and this fits that bill.

This is a great backpack and what I was looking for. I use it as a daily computer bag for work. My only concern is that the straps and back support padding will not last long. Spending this much money I expect to get many years of use out of it before it needs to be replaced and I just worry the straps and back pad will not. Only time will tell. Everything else is great on this bag. It is the prefect size for me to carry a 14" laptop and an ipad along with a few note pads.
