Noxgear is great. I purchased the add on chest light and it definitely lit up my path more than I expected which is what we need for safety. It does great with its battery life and definitely worth my money. I use it every time I go on my night runs. It’s light and sits well on the attachment so it’s not bouncing around or bothering while you run.

I'm a morning runner, so 8 months out of the year I'm running in the dark. I love my Nox running vest, and I truly believe this has saved me more than once from getting hit by vehicles on my runs. I used to wear a headlamp for illumination, but it was a bit annoying to have on the head when running and required constant adjustment to keep from falling off. In addition, in fog or rainy days, the light from the headlamp shining down would reflect off the water in the air and make it difficult to see. This light has been a game changer. Having it down around my chest keeps the light out of eye level, so on rainy days I don't have any issue with visibility. It's also a lot more comfortable not having the headlamp on my head. This stays very secure and keeps the light shining right in front of me. It's lightweight and plenty bright with 2 levels of brightness. I can adjust the angle of the light which is also a nice feature. It also has a battery charge indicator so I know when I need to plug it in for recharge. I can usually get about 7 hours of use on a single charge which is good for about a week's worth of running for me. This along with the vest is the perfect running combination for dark runs.

For most running lights/lamps, there's a few major issues: direction, bulk, and reliability. Most lights clip on your shirt, or your hat, or some other article of clothing that moves with you when you're pounding the pavement. They also tend to be heavy with magnets, or wobbly with bad clips, or just generally cumbersome. NoxGear solves all of these problems with the NoxGear Tracer Chest Lamp. To say that I'm impressed and incredibly happy with my purchase would be an understatement. The chest lamp is bright and versatile, and makes running in the dark a heck of a lot easier! The Chest Lamp clips into an existing Tracer, so you're already getting that solid NoxGear ecosystem by using a device that was designed not to fit a multitude of situations, but a very specific fit. This allows the light to sit tight on your chest and not wiggle around as much as magnet or clip lights. It also articulates, so you're able to point it higher or lower, depending on your height. This solves the problem of losing a field of view because of a light pointing straight ahead. The Chest Lamp also addresses the "Hulk Hands" issue that you get with a lot of lights, which is shadows projecting on the ground in front of you because of the lamp location. Because the Chest Lamp is centrally located, you don't see the shadows that you'll get with other lamps. The Chest Lamp is rechargeable, and you're more likely to see the sun rise than you are to see the light dim. It holds a solid charge and lasts a long time (longer than any run I've ever done). This is a really solid product and a definite "must buy" if you're an existing Tracer owner.

These are perfect for walking at night. The charge lasts a long time, the light is bright, and you can see where you are walking. They are small and lightweight. We use them with their vests and cars are always careful to slow down and go around us.

Great for early morning or late-night running. Clips in the running vest from the company. It's small and compact but throws good light. It is a little pricey and is an additional cost to the vest but works much better than cheaper options. The product is durable and good quality. Item is black with white lighting.

Updating this review. Works great...while it lasts. It only worked for 10 months before it stopped turning on after a charge. Note that some of that time was during the winter and so I barely used it during those cold months. I really only got maybe 7 months out of it at best. This light is BRIGHT! Like surface of the sun bright! Lights up both sides of the road in the dark on its brightest setting. Snaps right into vest for convenience. So far has lasted at least 2 hours on a charge (haven't tried longer yet). It's a little heavy but not enough to really be noticeable and seems to be well made and durable. It is expensive yes, but you are getting what you pay for with this little light as it is extremely bright and convenient to wear.

I got the LED harness that glows with the chest lamp as a bundle. The harness REALLY provides great visibility in all conditions and from all directions. I have had several people driving by while I was out walking the dog stop and thank me for having the harness on as it was getting dark. They say they could really see me and told me what a great idea! I feel much safer walking at night! Love it!!! The chest light is extremely bright! It has Hi and Low settings, but even the Low is extremely bright. I wish there was a red light capability to prevent night blindness. But this is a great product and awesome value for the money as it comes now.

Only worked for less than two months - charges okay - but stopped turning on and off, the button clicks but no response, takes forever to get it to respond. No point returning it as postage is excessive from New Zealand. Very very disappointed as the Noxgear vest is amazing, the chest light could have been amazing to. IS there anything I can do to fix/replace this faulty unit?
