I bought this in 2024 and compelled to write a review. This adapter has worked perfectly with my Dyson DC59, quite a difference! I'm now able to run the vacuum on max mode longer than I ever could using a standard replacement battery on normal mode. It’s a major upgrade in performance and convenience. I'm using this adapter with Tenmoer 20V 6.0Ah batteries, DeWalt-compatible, and it’s a fantastic combo. The higher amp-hours seem to reduce stress on the battery cells compared to the original Dyson or smaller-capacity batteries. The adapter has an LED indicator that changes from green to red when the voltage drops, which is a smart cue to swap batteries and avoid over-draining. One of the best parts is the ability to just swap out batteries and keep vacuuming, no waiting for recharges or dealing with worn-out stock batteries. For anyone who already owns DeWalt 20V batteries or is tired of replacing Dyson-style batteries that don't last, this adapter is an excellent solution.

The battery was getting weak on my old Dyson V7 Vac and wouldn't hold up for vacuuming more than a small room before needing a recharge. When searching for a replacement battery, I stumbled upon this alternative and I must say, I'm glad I made this purchase instead. It is so much handier being able to swap out a battery if you're not done vacuuming. I have several DeWalt 20v tools, but even if you don't, it wouldn't hurt to pick up a cordless driver set to multipurpose the batteries. I personally swap between two 4Ah batteries, and find one charge is better than what I was dealing with, but now I can quickly change to the other fully charged battery if need be. Installation was simple -- three screws to remove the old Dyson battery and replace it with the BTRUI adapter. The only drawbacks are the "MAX" vacuum setting puts an extra drain on the battery which can overheat it quickly, and you can no longer use the wall mount that comes with the Dyson, but I just leave the vacuum in the normal setting and lean it up in a corner somewhere instead.

Nice gadget. Works ok, but has a shortened runtime. Not due to battery charge, but seems to overheat. Assembly was easy. Difficult part was removing the original screws. Goes together well. Looks like it belongs there. Update: lasted 2 days then only ran for 5 secs at time. Still over 50% of battery. Previous battery better.

If you have a Dyson vacuum. Buy this. It has made it so much easier to use the sweeper since I can use theDewalt batteries I already have. The original Dyson battery just doesn’t last long enough.

So close, when I have it attached to my suction head, it works great, but when I have it attached to a non-powered head it goes on and off. I don't know why it does that! It didn't do that when I had the regular battery attached.

Wonderful; made using the vacuum so much easier. Easy to install and so worth it.

Bought this item with some trepidation considering the "bad" reviews (I always read the bad reviews because they seem more "honest"). The majority of bad reviews say that the battery lasts even less than the OEM Dyson. Well let me tell you... they are probably using the 2AH DeWalt batteries which I'm sure people have more than two. But for my test I used my 5AH battery and it lasted 10 mins on FULL power with consistent use! Admittedly I have hardwood floors so I'm not using the powered roller/beater attachment. I'm pretty sure, that an 8AH battery will last 20 mins on full. This is way better than the Dyson battery and this DeWalt Battery Adapter is fantastic. The price is excellent too. So if you have a few DeWalt batteries in your kit, you can easily switch out the used one for a charged one in seconds and keep going. 5 stars from me!

Works great. The original Dyson battery was a joke. If you’re buying the replacement battery, I’d go with cheaper brand and compatible version of this.

This is absolutely GARBAGE! I tried this with a generic 12 AH 20V DeWalt battery, a genuine 6 AH 20V DeWalt battery, a genuine 6 AH DeWalt Flexvolt battery, and a genuine 8 AH 20V DeWalt XR Powerpack battery. With ALL OF THESE BATTERIES, you could only use the Dyson V10 on the low power setting. If you try to put into medium or max power setting, the vacuum runs 5 seconds, then shuts off. Give it a couple seconds to reset, try again, same result. I think the reason this doesn't work is the DeWalt batteries are 20V, yet the OEM Dyson battery is 25.2V, so it's not supplying enough power to work more than a couple seconds. Returned it and I suggest anyone reading this AVOID THIS PRODUCT!

Easy installation, excellent result! Very happy,will buy another one for second dyson. If you use small DeWalt 2amp/hr it is the same run time as the original dyson battery. I use a large dewalt 5amp/hr dewalt battery, runs forever!

Worked surprisingly effectively with DeWalt battery. Has worked for over a year since I’ve had it. Compatible with my v10 Dyson. Think this is good value for money as it’s replaced the battery.

Bought this to work with my Dyson V6 vacuum. Instead of purchasing another standard battery, I went with this and a dewalt-style 20V. Works great
