Hope you like "open G" tuning.
I love the Rolling Stones and this book provides great insight to the guitar work on this album. While it may not have every single note played there is more than enough information to help you play the song so it sound pretty close to what was recorded.

THE STONES STRONGEST ALBUM GETS A WEAK GUITAR TAB EDITION
As a guitar teacher for many years, I find this book to be a useful tool in teaching and learning the original recordings from one of the most powerful albums by The Rolling Stones. This is a perfect TAB book to have if all you're looking for is a folio of the LET IT BLEED album that has basic arrangements of the guitar parts for each song and you just need to know the correct chord diagrams, which open tunings Keith Richards used and which tunes require a capo. For many that is enough and for those requirements this book succeeds admirably. However, if you're looking for more detailed arrangements for each song than you should be for warned. Similar to other Alfred TAB books of the band's early albums on ABKCO (i.e., Beggars Banquet & Aftermath) the TABS are streamline arrangements that don't always include every single guitar part or every overdub from the original recordings. If you compare the layout of this 72 page book to the excellent lengthy 96 page matching TAB Edition of The Stone's live album, "Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out!" you'll see what I'm talking about. Often times many guitar parts from the original recordings on LET IT BLEED are transcribed into a single composite guitar arrangement. This being said, most of the transcriptions appear to be accurate and are in the correct keys. But, a die-hard Stones fan might question the validity for transcribing the song Gimme Shelter in an Open G tuning when it is believed, (if not mythologized,) that Keith Richards originally used an Open E tuning for the studio recording. Another questionable arrangement is the book's version of the thematically frightening, "Midnight Rambler." Here they have transcribed the song using barre chords, and a couple of awkward chord shapes positioned around the seventh fret to play the song in it's original key of B major. It makes no mention of employing a much simpler way to play the song (as Keith did) which is to use simple open E5, D, and A5 chord shapes with a capo at the 7th fret to achieve the same results. This may be a minor quibble since often times finger and neck positioning of similar notes and chords can be more of a personal choice rather than a hard fact. The second guitar and lead guitar transcriptions for both "Gimme" and "Midnight" are adequate and appear correct though. Despite the book's brevity and occasional questionable finger positioning, the transcriptions really do help unlock the mystery of tunings for the guitar parts on the album. Especially for songs like "You Can't Always Get What You Want" and the plaintive, "You've Got the Silver." Learning a laid back twisted song such as "Monkey Man" with its unique chord embellishments and choppy riffing is much easier with the TAB provided here. In addition, the acoustic simplicity of songs such as "Country Honk" and the mesmerizing version of the Robert Johnson blues classic, "Love in Vain" are surprisingly revealed in this book. I gave the book a 4 Star rating, and not 5, due to the brief transcriptions of the songs and questionable accuracy of others. If you're a guitar playing Stones fan and you want insight on how to achieve the large stylistic diversity presented on LET IT BLEED, then I recommend this book to you. Sure, it doesn't have everything you might expect or want in a TAB book of this kind but to quote Mick Jagger, "You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you get what you need."

Stone Rock Greatness!
What can you say, if like me, you've witnessed and reveled in the glory and decadence of one of rock era's greatest bands and recordings! After hearing these gems countless times, the only thing left to do is buy the tab book and learn to play the songs by yourself or maybe with friends if you're lucky. "Live With Me," "Country Honk," and Midnight Rambler are personal favorites.I know it's only rock-n-roll, but I like it. And so will you.

Decent, but not totally accurate
This book is great because it has all the songs from the classic Let it Bleed Album. I was suprised that there were very basic mistakes, for example the introduction states that Brian Jones was replaced by Mick Taylor, an American, after he died. Wha? Mick Taylor is English. Also, the slide guitar solo/interlude for Monkey Man is not correct. There are missing parts to other songs, such as the picking work for Country Honk. I give this 3 stars since this book, like the tab book for Beggars Banquet from Alfred publishing, will give you enough information to play the songs in a similar fashion to the recorded versions.

Great tab book
Great tab book. Wish this was available 20 years ago when I struggled (mostly unsuccessfully) to learn these songs. One song in the book, however, Gimme Shelter, is tabbed in open G, yet open E is how it was originally recorded, or so I've been led to believe. It's missing the solo on Country Honk and missing a few bits and pieces in some of the other songs, but all in all, definitely a worthwhile purchase.

Poor quality
I brought this for a present the cuts at the top of the book has been cut in a way where the bottom pri t of the book is at the top. Pages are stuck together and no matter how gentle you try to separate them they rip. The back cover looks like it's been sat it water very poorly made.
