I recently upgraded my PC case, and the new case had one of the newer type C ports. My motherboard didn't have the type C connection, but did have a spare USB 3 port,so I purchased this item and it works perfectly. Admittedly you dont get the increased speed of the type C, but you can still plug in your phone to either charge it or transfer data- The speed is near identical to the USB Ports that are on the case. A worthwhile investment,that is very useful. Highly recommend!

Works really well, the one issue I had is it’s possible to connect the USB type E connector backwards which it probably should stop you doing. So just ensure you check the pictures for the right way around

Constantly crashed during boot when used with my Motherboard and Case combination - ASRock B550M Pro 4 and Jonsbo N4 case. Removing the adapter and not using the USB C port on the front of the case resolved the issue completely.

Bought a meshify s2 which has a usb type c internal header. Pop one of these in to convert one of the USB 3 headers as my board doesn't have a type f header. Works a treat
