**Q: can you use this to clean the washing machine drain pipe?**
A: The Drain Care Buildup Remover help prevent clogs and remove years of buildup restoring the flow to slow running and partial clogged drains. For Drain Care® to work properly, you need to establish a partial flow so the enzymes can reach further down the pipes and start the cleaning process. 

To treat laundry lines: Pour 1 ounce of Drain Care into laundry line then flush with 16 ounces of warm water. Do not use for 6 hours. Repeat this process for 3 consecutive days. 

Use the Drain Care once a month in sinks, toilets, garbage disposal and grease traps to keep lines flowing freely.

**Q: Is this really for a 64 oz bottle? Home Depot & Lowes both sell that size for $10.00.**
A: Current info is that Amazon is less expensive (Home Depot $12.87) and (Lowes  $12.98) 02/19/2023.

**Q: Can this be used for sink overflow drains? if not, which zep product is best for this use?**
A: Yes. Pour 1 ounce of the Zep Liquid Drain Care Build-up Remover into the overflow drain, followed by 16 ounces of warm water. Do not use the sink for 6 hours. Repeat applications for 3 days consecutive days. Use once a month to prevent reoccurring build-up.

**Q: The directions aren’t really clear. Do you run warm water and then pour it down the drain? How long do you wait?**
A: I run warm water for 5 to 10 min.  Then pour 1 once into the drain.  Then I wait over night and then flush with hot water.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works on everything if used in main drain

So I had an upstairs toilet issue. When using the shower or the 2 sinks in the main bath, the toilet will make a gargle noise, backup but not over flow, and the water in the toilet will be up to the rim for almost 5 hours before it flushed. Even if I flush the toilet, the same would happen. After reading reviews and leaning on my understanding of chemistry and cooking. I realized that the main drain in my townhome ran through my upstairs shower. So I removed the shower drain cover and poured the entire bottle of Zep down the drain. I waited 5 hours. Mostly because I had others things to do. I then heated water in a midsize pot until it started to boil. Once it began to boil I left the cover on the pot but let it sit with the heat off. I then (with oven gloves) carried the cover pot to the bathroom and slowly poured the hot water down the shower. I waited ...some odd hours later I heard something like a demon from h*ll coming from my upstairs bathroom. I don't know why I ran towards it. Every black person knows to run in the opposite direction in scary movies. But I ran to the noise. When I arrived the floor of my shower was covered in what I thought was BM but later realized it was mud/ dirt and Lord knows what ever. There was no odor. I then tested the toilet because I noticed it was back at normal level in the bowl. The toilet flushed with gusto and didn't make a noise or back up when using the sinks or shower. I then used a half of gallon of Clorox to clean my shower with a long arm brush & sponge. Total resolve time : 12-16 hours
