First of all, this is the cutest thing ever! It is nice and heavy, very well made. It is big enough for the biggest hamster, for sure. I got it to match my little man's cactus water bottle holder, so it is going to be so cute when I get it in his enclosure. I like that the top lifts off so you can look for your little buddy!

My hamster loves it. It's adorable and it's a great size. It was packaged well and had no cracks or defects. It was worth the money! It's a big heavy so I put a stand under it in my hamsters tank to ensure it doesn't come down on him. Easy to set up. There's a little window cut out on the side and a hole in the chimney in addition to the entry, to ensure air can get through. I sprinkled some dried flowers inside and I put an ice pack on top when it's getting a little warm and my guy loves it.

Came with a pillow inside which we obviously don’t use in case the hamster soils it, but a cute addition regardless.Ceramic product exactly as pictured and best part is it’s easy to clean since the top comes off. The design of this little hide is adorable. It looks great in my mouse and African soft fur enclosures, and they use it all the time. It seems sturdy and the rounded design makes it basically impossible for your pet to chew on it, but definitely be careful not to drop it on a hard floor. That would most likely be enough to shatter it even from a short height due to the material it's made from. They're packaged well in shipping so you shouldn't have to worry about them being broken on arrival.One thing to note is that anything larger than a dwarf hamster or African soft fur probably won't fit in this. My male syrian hamster never could have stuffed himself in this thing. As long as you're buying it for a smaller species, it should be perfect for your needs.As for cleaning: It's actually much easier to clean than I thought it would be based on the shape. Just wipe down the inside and outside with a small, non-abrasive sponge or pet-safe wet wipe and you're good. Make sure you dry them well before putting them back in your enclosure since the enclosured top could allow bacteria to grow if it remains wet for too long.

We had a wood hide before this one. Within the first week of using it for our female hamster, it STANK so badly, I had to throw it away. The pee had soaked in and it was irredeemable. I ordered this one immediately and have no regrets. It's adorable, big enough for a Syrian hamster, and very easy to clean due to the removal top and glazing. I highly recommend it.

I loved the size and quality of the mushroom. It’s definitely big enough for both dwarf and Syrian hamsters. I also love that you can easily remove the top piece for viewing and cleaning.
