It was used but looked brand new. It was packed well. I immediatetly attached it to the 55-210 lens and took it out back, where the bird feeders are. The pics are of a white-winged dove. It handled the dappled lighting well. The camera was handheld. The second photo is a 100% crop of the first pic. The rest of the photos were taken the next day: squirrel, sandhill crane, and a 100% crop of the crane to show how sharp this TC can be.I processed these photos, just so you know. The originals were a little soft, but they often are with this lens when zoomed to full extension, which is how I was using it. I was sitting about thirty feet away from the bird. My initial impression of the teleconverter is good. I think with practice, it will help me get those shots the lens alone can't reach. The receiving threaded O-ring where lens attaches will snap off at the slightest of bumping. Not rugged. Otherwise picture quality is perfect if you’re looking for a work around in price. I have a 55-210 e mount and the reach is nice at 400+. It will at times interfere with the AF and sensor awareness on a Sony A6000. But Sony sucks at creating good value for its native lenses when you want something special. For example, this set up cost me less than $300 and I get killer shots. Next option is a 300 G lens. $1200. Next option is a 400 G lens or G Master. $2500. And Sony only does a Teleconverter for that lens only. The GM. Not a lot of options and all stratosphere pricing. Yes you can do a non native lens. Sigma, Canon etc.... however good luck with camera cooperation. Sony cameras HATE non native lenses. Note. Need a thread converter to fit it. Good for your Olympus too... *by G***M on Reviewed in the United States on August 17, 2016* Olympus glass has never failed me in the past, so reading online that this teleconverter would increase the range of the 55mm - 210mm zoom on my Sony a6000 was good to hear. I also had to purchase a 49 to 55mm adaptor ring for a few bucks. Just had my first play over the Mississippi river at full zoom (535mm equivalent) and moving targets. No loss of f-stops as this converter lets all the light in. Very pleased with my first 'play'. Cannot wait to try it out on more of the wildlife around me and very much looking forward to a trip to Yellowstone next year.Photo's shared are the TCON on Sony a6000 with sony 55-210 lens. 100 iso, f8, 1/500.Recently bought Sont 18-135, which has a 55m front thread that the TCON screws directly on to.
