Better than the rest
These are more expensive compared to other similar models but actually work great. I got 3 different ones to compare. These come out on top by far. Solid Aluminum, feels strong. Comes with the receiving plate. Good product.Used as lock on the top edge of wooden plantation doors. Easy to add a chain and key-ring "pull" (not included)

Perfect for a Murphy door
Are use this on a Murphy door that I built and it works perfect. I wasn’t sure what type of latch to use and then I came across this one and it works better than expected!

One of a kind
Nice latch. The only one I could find anywhere that has the bolt angle facing up. Works like a champ and is suppose to be solid zinc so it shouldn't rust.

The perfect “acorn shooter” trigger.
I made a catapult shooter for a grandson. The latches work perfect to hold the spring loaded shooters until it is time to pull the “trigger”.It took a bit of searching online to find them but they work perfect!

Good product, but you may not get it right on first purchase
Edited: Dropped one star. I returned one of the two that I bought (see below, it was damaged and missing a part). A couple weeks later I decided to purchase a second one again. They shipped me THE SAME ONE! It had the same missing part and twisted bolt (very friction-y). At least they put it in a bag this time so the parts didn't fall out.Original Review:I bought two. The both came in product packages that had fallen apart during shipping, spilling their contents all within the shipping package. Make sure you aren't buying anything fragile at the same time. One also didn't come with a strike-plate (it probably fell out of the shipping package). One of them had a twisted bolt, causing extra friction when opening/closing. It still worked, but it was 50% harder to use, and I wonder how the twisted bolt might affect the wood of my project near the strike plate. The one that had all pieces and worked correctly, seems to be of a good quality. It is definitely a stronger spring than I had expected, but that should be fine. Also as another commenter said, I spent a long time trying to find a latch pointing up. This seems to be the only one.
