Sorry for the delay in getting back - been away!. Mains leads with 13amp plugs are fitted on both sides of the blanket with built in heater controls so both can operate as required independently. We have Kingsize and it's great - comes on very quickly on max (red) but turn to lower number before getting in bed. Well worth the money.

is the cover of this blanket 100% cotton. I have a new heating blanket but on lowest setting(1) i'm sweating!

Yes it's cotten and it's great allsettings are adjustable I like it on 2-3 my wife likes it on 6 if you nod off it goes off after 2 hour, best blanket we've ever had!

Do the heated elements within the mattress protector cover the entire mattress area (i.e. from top to toe, side to side)? Thank you.

Simple answer is no, the heated elements of the mattress protector heat the area you tend to sleep on, shoulder to foot. Definitely not under the pillows and not right to the edges. I have the king size protector with two separate heated areas, so they do not meet in the middle either. Thought I had read details on the heated area but can't see them now. Hope this helps.
