Sharpe: Season Two (DVD)

Finally getting to it and it's every bit as good as I've heard! I hope to get some more episodes now, 5 down, 11 to go.

A reasonable historical series centered around the Napoleonic Wars in Spain. Too much interpersonal drama for me but not unusual for this type of series. Follows the books pretty well.

Saw the shows on BBCA a few years ago and found the US style of DVD's.

These are good storylines, and the characters are compelling, especially Sean Bean's character and that of Sgt. Harper, but there is too much talk of rape and suggested rape for me. I bought two seasons thinking it would be similar to the Hornblower series which was, except for a couple of obscure scenes, devoid of any sexually explicit content. Unfortunately, this series is NOT for families or for children younger than their older teens.

I like Sean Bean and his band of chosen men. I liked obadiah. Love the scenery and the plot of historical Spain.

Sean Bean and cast do a great job in this series. The fight scenes are very well done too!

I have been unable to rate this item as it was in the wrong format ,I was offered to return this item ,but decided to vote wth my feet and not order anything else from this company

I would like to get all 15 episodes. They are not available for Region 1 unless you want to pay almost $ 1,000.00They are available for Region 2 for about $ 50.00 . Is there no way to transfer the contents to Region 1 accessability for a reasonable price?

This complete season is excellent. Bean has developed into full character and suits the role wonderfully.

This is a BBC release in NTSC. It is of far better quality than most of the others out there and NOT PAL.
