It is really awesome. The paper is very durable and smooth and handles wet and dry media equally well. It is somewhat absorbent, but not nearly as much as traditional watercolor paper. I was surprised by the way it took pastels, and the watercolor washes are amazing. This pad, 11 x 14, is 160 lb., a heavier weight than the smaller pads, which are 100 lb. I've also used mineral spirits to blend the colored pencils. I have not used heat or alcohol ink, so I cannot comment on that. It is definitely worth trying! I highly recommend it to artists to try it. I have made really fun cards and tags with it that came out beautifully. It cuts nicely and you can use double sided thin tape to cut it easily and attach it to paper and it looks beautiful on cards.
