These knee-high socks are comfortable and so far (a couple wears) appear durable. Without squeezing my legs and being uncomfortable (or even really noticeable) they have eliminated my bilateral pitting edema (1+, no skin or neurologic changes). It has been about 90F outside and they have not been uncomfortable in any way. My toes have not felt like drumstick either, and after 18 hours of standing there is no swelling of the legs or at the top of the sock. I believe I have simple bilateral swelling due to incompetent venous valves, and not heart or liver failure. After wearing each of the three twice I purchased another 3 of a different color to wear them every day without hesitation.

I am in my mid 40s and LOVE to play basketball. My legs have taken as much as they can and I thought I was done. I now use these every time I play and even sometimes when I'm just lounging around the house. They keep my legs very compressed and relieve the pain I used to have. These are a game changer. I have about 9 pairs just so I never run out in case we don't get to the laundry as much as we should. You will not regret buying these.

Maybe these fit better for men, but I find the women's sizing to be inaccurate. I measured the circumference of my calves since I tend to have issues with socks/stockings/etc fitting properly. The women's XL socks say they fit 14" - 19" calves. Mine are only 15", but I have issues with the top of the socks cutting into me a bit (indicating they are too small). They fit fine in my feet (I wear women's 10 and have wide feet). I also feel like the socks are too tall. I'm 5'6 and more of my height is in my legs than torso, but these socks still have another inch or two leftover. So it seems like they're made for someone who is 5'8 or 5'9.
