I really wanted a slow cooker the same size as my old one that finally needed to be replaced. I accurately measured the volume of the old one, using water, and it held 4 litres. Four litres = 4.22 US quarts. It seems to be a rare size of manual slow cooker to find now, at reasonable prices anyway. The reviews for this one seemed good so I ordered it. As soon as it arrived I could see it was smaller than it should be. I measured it using water and yes, it holds only slightly over 3 litres, which is barely 3 US quarts! This was almost a deal-breaker for me and I thought I'd probably return it. But I liked the look of it, and the reviews, so I tried it out. And now for the good part of this review: In every other way, I love this slow cooker. I like the pot being white instead of black. I love that the temperature settings work exactly as they should - high, low and keep warm. That's important! So, the size is a bit of a compromise, and I'll have to reduce the quantities in some of my most-used recipes, the slow cooker is otherwise perfect. Price is good too, and I have no need for a programmable model, or a big one, so I'm glad this one is available. To the manufacturer: please correct the stated size for this item.
