These filter panels remove the finest sand and dirt from the pool that the standard filters did not seem to get. That means less junk to clog my DE filter, reducing service intervals. If you have larger debris like leaves, you might want to do one cycle with the standard filters and one with the fine.

This is a game changer. Installing was not that hard can only fit one way. Boy did this sure clean dust and dead algae. Very pleased and cleaned right up with garden hose and sprayer. Pool bottom is way sparkly now. I would recommend hopefully they last long

Great filters

These filters fit and work well in our Maytronics Dolphin Proteus DX4 robot. This pleated filter system appears to capture algae and finer particles better than the screen style filters that ship with the robot. Swapping these filters for the original filters is easy and straightforward. Each panel is numbered to correspond with where it needs to be installed in the basket. It is impossible to put the filters in the wrong slot. It is recommended to remove the filters in order of their numbers 1-4 and replacing them is easiest when replaced in descending order from 4-1. Cleaning is easy with a moderate amount of water pressure from the garden hose. Great filters for capturing the finer particles in the pool.

I have the Dolphin Triton PS and was wondering if I had bought the wrong tool. Sand and silt went in and just shot right back out the top of the cleaner, leaving patterns of sand in the pool after cleaning. I ordered the fine filters and installed them. I had to unscrew one corner of the filter box to get them in, not plug and play easy. But after the first run it was clear the money and time were well spent. 90% of the sand was gone. After cleaning the filter and running again my pool is ready for prime time. If sand is getting through your filters, this part is the answer. Very happy with the results.

I use this filter style inserts for my mytronic robotic as a better alternative to picking up the finer particles like algae spores. It's not 100% but gets all the visible dirt. Cleaning requires complete disassembly and flushing with a lot of water to remove embedded sediments. I may try acid washing to clear up the stains and calcium that may be stuck in there. Worth the investment.
