No.04 Bois de Balincourt Natural Roll-On Perfume Oil Sample | Luxury Clean Beauty + Non-Toxic Fragrance (0.1 fl oz | 3 ml)

A sample of No. 4 Bois de Balincourt came in this year’s advent calendar from Anthropologie. My son’s girlfriend let me smell the sample and I couldn’t get it out of my head, so I bought some! I loooove this. It’s a fresh, woodsy scent that reminds me of walking into a greenhouse. It lasts all day on me. The smell of it makes me happy.

Love these scents! I have #02 and #04 so I thought I should try this one, can’t decide which is my favorite. I do wish they lasted longer, but the small size is perfect for touch ups.

Smells like heaven. The most unique an early scent. I was stopped and asked what this scent was quite a few times. I think it depends on your body chemistry. I didn't like it at first but once it sat on my skin I loved it.

Le Long Fond: definitely green and earthy. This sort of smells like a sophisticated version of bug spray to my nose, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing… it actually evokes some nice memories. Also, I’ve sampled some pretty great niche-tier stuff that is right in the same scent neighborhood as this, there’s a Fischersund one, the name of which I can’t remember, that comes to mind. Long Fond is to my mind a niche kind of scent, more than an easy-wearing crowd-pleaser. If you’re a nature lover who also likes to be a little stylish, and are familiar and comfortable with scents that have a point of view, and not just mass market scents that are more comfortable but more neutral, this might be great for you. I think it has the potential to be pure magic on the right person, maybe a hipster landscape designer? Or someone who feels supported by scent memories of being in the wild, while they go about their day in the city. Might be truly amazing atop a leather jacket. If this sounds like your thing order the little sample! Added bonus: the fragrance-chemical sensitive people that you interact with daily will also be made happy by not becoming queasy and red-eyed in your vicinity! ( I am exploring natural fragrances because my close pal has allergic reactions to something in perfumes and cleaning products). This one isn’t quite my personality, but it’s no fault of the perfume, just a personality mismatch. High hopes for Bois de Balincourt!

This is actually very pretty and surprisingly long lasting. It is VERY cucumber forward at first and dries down to a creamy caramel 4 hours later. I did reapply later in the day. In the actual world of fragrance it's probably 4 stars but I'm giving it 5 because what is this doing on Amazon for 16 bucks? Genuinely shocked at quality.

This is a lovely fragrance, delicate and floral, but is completely undetectable to me after application. The only way I can smell it is to hold the bottle to my nose. I found this to be a waste of money, which stings given the price point for such a tiny volume.

It's true that it smells very similar to Le labo santal 33 but it has a milder, fresher and more musky scent.

It's a lovely clean and fresh scent. Personally, this feels more like a skin scent. There's a mild cucumber-like scent that lingers quite pleasantly on my skin. It doesn't last that long, probably 3-4 hours but then again I live in a tropical climate. Nonetheless, I really do like it a lot for myself.

Small bottle .. nice scent …. Similar as Santal 33

Smells nothing like Le Labo Santal 33, more like intense coriander and not cucumber. You have been warned.
