No fear
Honestly, from some of the reviews I was expecting either one of two things to happen within the first couple of months of using this Kindle Scribe folio case. Either a.) the case would start fraying around the edges, or b.) my beloved Kindle Scribe would simply slide out the case and smash into pieces on the floor. This case is beautifully made. It’s sturdy, handsome, and incredibly functional. The magnets that hold the Kindle in place are strong, and the various positions the case goes in are useful. I use my Kindle for a lot of writing and a fair bit of reading, and the case only helps with this, with the angled stand position aiding both reading and writing.I found a piece of melted chocolate on the woven case fabric and was concerned I would be able to clean it well. I shouldn’t have worried, it cleans as if it is smooth, rather than the textured fabric it is.It is light weight, but rigid enough to write on unsupported by a desk and offer decent protection. And as for use, the stylus holder is secure but not so tight that it’s a struggle to get the stylus in or out. Unlike many cases, I don’t need to remove the Kindle to charge it.As for my initial two concerns? Well, I take my kindle everywhere: conferences, meetings, on a walk, or on our two week family camping trip. Now, I’m sensible with it, not slinging my bag around, and not just chucking the encased Kindle into my bag….but I’m not precious about it. There are no frays, no marks, and the Kindle has remained safely in place. The only time I’ve removed it from the case is on the odd occasion I want to use the Kindle on its own (full disclosure: I’m a bit vain, and think it looks nice). Given it’s held in place in the case by magnets, I can do that easily. So, top marks from me and initial fears allayed.

Nice colour and fabric, well made
This does look very nice, and it holds the pen very snug. The edging is well sealed so no fraying as someone said in the past about previous cases. My scribe has fallen out a few times as the magnets are not so strong to hold secure, so you do need to be careful that you Cary it securely. I didn’t think it would happen to me as I’m aware of the cost of the scribe, but just grabbing it without thinking is my downfall. Would still buy because it as I love how it looks feels, the way it folds so you can have it at different angles.

Great product, but expensive.
Fits the scribe perfectly, pretty amazing that it’s only held by magnets, as I honestly have never had it shift about and it’s fab. It looks really smart - and the automatic unlock function is great.However. It’s really expensive for what it is. I bought it because I needed to, but felt a little aggrieved at the price.

I was ready to be disappointed but...
Actually this is excellent! I was a little put off by the premium price but this is a well thought out cover. The kindle clips in with magnets but holds on well enough to be held upside down. The cover, when folded all the way around is held flat with a magnet which is important for ease of reading. Both angled poses are well designed and can be written on without issue. As you can see, the edges appear heat sealed so I'm hoping that I dont see the fraying that blighted earlier versions. When closed there is actually quite a nice "bumper" all the way around that should protect the kindle.

Basic Cover - expensive
The fabric seems nice at touch but the cover is expensive what offers. It covers the screen and it has 4 depressions for the kindle to fit, that is it. It does not stop the kindle to fall because it cannot attach anywhere else. It is not a protected cover by any means. I tested by lifting the kindle on my desk and it fell on my lap.

Holds Kindle perfectly with magnets
Auto wake up and sleep, magnetic closure doubles as latching stand (use either way up), cut aways for the pen and a pen loop which is more secure, light, strong, sealed edges, non slip texture, looks smart. So good it ought to come with the Kindle. My only reservation would be that the Kindle is held in by magnets. Always close the cover before moving it and you'll be fine. The cover looks like it would protect from a three or maybe four foot drop.

Works well as a stand for reading
This is a good cover for the kindle scribe, however I've only been using it since November and with daily use, the edge coating has already pulled off and its now starting to fray. Given the price I would have expected it to last a bit longer with daily use, given this is a cover forwhat is both a kindle and notebook in one, and so likely to see daily use.I would still recommend it, however I do think Amazon need to make it a little bit more robust for the future.

Excellent case
I was skeptical but this is excellent and I suspect is better than the leather version. Sturdy, good protection and functional Magnet works very well and has a slot for the pen. Worth buying the amazon original especially it is only slightly more expensive than other brands.
